10 Reasons Why Christmas is Still The Best

It may have lost some hype, but you have to admit that it's still awesome in so many ways.

Now that I'm older Christmas may not be as exciting as it used to be and honestly it doesn't even feel like Christmas time to me, but that doesn't mean it's not still awesome and great in other ways. I've complied a list as to how Christmas is still great to me, i hope that many of you can agree.

1. As college kids we have off for a month

I mean honestly what's better then that? It's all about relaxing and enjoying yourself after killing yourself during finals.

2. Snuggling and watching Christmas movies

Perfect way to relax and get in the Christmas spirit whether with a significant other or family/friends. Don't forget to settle down with a blanket and some hot chocolate!

3. It's the biggest excuse to see family.

I know i don't see my family as much as I'd like too and Christmas is a great reason to see each other and do fun things.

4. There is so much great food

I don't know about you but there is almost nothing better than food.

5. Giving is almost better then receiving

Now that gifts probably aren't as exciting because we no longer get them from Santa, there's a different form of excitement. You get excited to give someone that perfect gift you bought them, and the look on his/her face when they recieve that perfect gift is so fulfilling.

6. Having the most fun family

This is a personal one, but I believe I have a really fun family, especially on Christmas. All my friends come over after their Christmas' are over and we stay up and jam to music and play board games until 2 am and there's nothing greater than having everyone together.

7. It's a joyous occasion

There is definitely a such thing as holiday spirit. Except for maybe retail, everyone seems to be really happy around Christmas and it definitely spreads.

8. It's the season of giving

Since it's the time of giving, people get a sense of happiness from putting a smile on someone else's face. Perhaps to someone they know or to the needy, and it's really such an amazing feeling. It's the perfect push to get out and help people.

9. Christmas songs are awesome

You know when they don't get too overplayed

10. Christmas cookies

Baking great way to get into the holiday spirit and spend quality time with family/friends.
