Are you stressed? Sad? In a bad mood? Need a new perspective? Maybe, you should try watching the sunrise one day before you start your day, or maybe, catch the sunset before you start working on your homework. You never know what watching the sunset and sunrise can do to you both mentally and physically. It has actually been proven to help fight against stress, depression, and anxiety, putting you in a better mood throughout the day. Such a simple, free, and lovely treasure that many of us take for granted. Here are a few reasons you should try to catch the next sunset, and the rest after that.

1. You will be in a better mood throughout the day.

When you see the sunrise or sunset, chances are that it will put you in a better mood. It actually has been proven to relieve stress and have many physical benefits, so, if you are having a rough day, drive to your favorite spot and watch your worries wash away.

2. You will see colors that you never knew could exist in nature.

The colors the sun creates against the sky can be truly amazing. Take advantage of the painting it gives you and appreciate it. Not to mention, it makes for pretty fantastic pictures. Snap a few photos, but remember to also be present with the sunset/sunrise, you won't regret it.

3. It will make you more grateful for the earth.

It has been proven that watching the sunrise and sunset gives you a better sense of gratitude for the earth and our creator. Don't forget t say thank you because you don't have to do anything to receive this incredible gift.

4. The sunrise will bring you hope, the sunset will bring you peace.

Sunrise vs. Sunset. We have heard it all before, but which is better? Well, that is truly a matter of personal opinion. Luckily, we don't always have to choose, because we have both. To me, when I watch the sunrise, it brings me hope for the new day, and when I watch the sunset, it brings me a sense of peace that everything is going to be alright.

5. Every single one is different.

You will never see the same sunset or sunrise. Every day the colors lay a little differently. That, to me, is pretty incredible. You never will get bored of watching, because it's always a different show.

6. You are given one every single day, no matter if you are there to see it or not.

How crazy is that? While you are in bed, the sun still will rise. While you are watching a movie, the sun will still set. You never will not be able to see one the next day, and that is very reassuring.

7. It's your own little slice of heaven.

Sometimes, the sun is so beautiful, it can feel like heaven. We are blessed with this every day, and that's special. It's a little bit like heaven.

8. If you aren't a morning person, that's okay, you were given the sunset

I can bet that there are more sunset people than sunrise people, and hey, that is totally okay. Not a lot of people like being up at 6 a.m., so chances are they won't catch the sunrise. If, you are one of these people, don't forget there is always the sunset.

9. If you are a morning person, well, try being outside for a few minutes as the sunrises, you'll be amazed at what it can do.

Morning people, not a lot of people know how they do it, but you are lucky because you not only can watch the sunset, but chances are, you are going to be up for the sunrise. This is a completely different experience, take advantage of your crazy ways.

10. It's free.

The best one yet, it is absolutely free. FREE. Who doesn't love free things? Grab a blanket, some coffee, and enjoy your complimentary show.

If there's one thing I'm absolutely terrible at, it's giving myself grace. I'm easily my own worst critic in almost everything that I do. I'm a raging perfectionist, and I have unrealistic expectations for myself at times. I can remember simple errors I made years ago, and I still hold on to them. The biggest thing I'm trying to work on is giving myself grace. I've realized that when I don't give myself grace, I miss out on being human. Even more so, I've realized that in order to give grace to others, I need to learn how to give grace to myself, too. So often, we let perfection dominate our lives without even realizing it. I've decided to change that in my own life, and I hope you'll consider doing that, too. Grace begins with a simple awareness of who we are and who we're becoming. As you read through these five affirmations and ways to give yourself grace, I hope you'll take them in. Read them. Write them down. Think about them. Most of all, I hope you'll use them to encourage yourself and realize that you are never alone and you always have the power to change your story.

Were all teenagers and twenty-somethings bingeing the latest "To All The Boys: Always and Forever" last night with all of their friends on their basement TV? Nope? Just me? Oh, how I doubt that.

I have been excited for this movie ever since I saw the NYC skyline in the trailer that was released earlier this year. I'm a sucker for any movie or TV show that takes place in the Big Apple.

How Young Feminists Can Understand And Subvert The Internalized Male Gaze

Women's self-commodification, applied through oppression and permission, is an elusive yet sexist characteristic of a laissez-faire society, where women solely exist to be consumed. (P.S. justice for Megan Fox)

Within various theories of social science and visual media, academics present the male gaze as a nebulous idea during their headache-inducing meta-discussions.
