1.Social Workers strive to make the world a better place for all people, regardless of race, income, education, religion, or sexual orientation.
2.Social Workers come into contact with many different problems and different cases, which causes Social Workers to use necessary problem-solving skills to try to figure out the best solution or plan of actions.
3. Social Workers work with many different people with many different personality types that are different from their own.
4. Social Workers don’t care about money. Money is nice to have and is needed to pay the bills, buy food, and practically live, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. Helping others is what matters most to a true Social Worker.
5. Social Workers are advocates for change—Whether it be for a person, group, law, or another societal issue.
6. Social Workers are educated in a wide variety of skills. Some of these skills include research, law, and human development as well as skills such as basic self-care skills. This in turn allows for many groups, individuals, and even families to rely on the knowledge of the Social Worker.

7. Social Workers do more than just take babies and children away. Social Workers are found in places such as schools, hospitals, prisons, clinics, shelters, food pantries, probation and parole offices, courtrooms, and not just in Child Protective Services.

8. Social Workers strive to meet basic needs of a person, group, and society.
9. Social Workers are a friend to the friendless, hope to the hopeless, a smile to someone’s frown. They are a vital source of encouragement, hope, and answers to the people that depend on them and need them the most.
10. Social Workers care about everyone. They want people to be successful and do good things in their lives and make the world a better place.
