Obama's time in office is coming to an end, and as it does, we should take time to reflect on the last eight years.
1. Under his terms, gay marriage was legalized
While there was the gray area back in 2007 and for a couple years after that where he opposed it, it came to fruition nonetheless. On June 29th, 2015, it was ruled that same-sex marriage would be legal in all 50 states.
2. Thanks, Obama.
When a joke about him on the internet came up, he embraced it.
3. He made this joke about his birth certificate in response to FOX news and our president-elect, Donald Trump.
If I recall correctly, Trump brought it to attention that Obama may not have been born in the USA. Obama shot him down. Does it get any better than this?
4. He is the president of memes
These are just a couple, but there are many, many more to be found.
6. He and Joe Biden are friendship goals
During the 2015 White House Correspondents Dinner, Obama jokingly announced the closeness of he and Joe's relationship.
“We’ve gotten so close that in some places in Indiana, they won’t serve us pizza anymore,”
And we can't forget those Joe and Barack memes that surfaced a few months back.
7. His very public love and adoration for his wife and children
Obama is no stranger to acknowledging his love and pride for his family, and it's the most adorable thing ever.
8. He was the first black president
Obviously, this is a huge step for the US.
9. Even he has poked fun at President Elect Trump
10. He's just a cool guy
He's chill. He doesn't come across as stuck up or rude. He's professional, but made the last 8 years fun at the same time.
