In college, you will most likely have multiple roommates, and you will have roommate you don't like, but out of all the roommates you will ever have, you'll find one that becomes more than your roommate. She becomes your best friend or the sister you never had. Fortunately for me, I found her my freshman year. Who knew a "Hey, can I room with you?" could turn into such an astounding friendship. Here are 10 reason why my roommate is the best.

1. She is punny.

Pun intended. Honestly, I've never been one who is comical. After meeting her, she has got me laughing left and right. Now one of our favorite things to do is sending puns to each other.

2. She is always down for an adventure.

Whenever I need a break from school or am bored, she is always willing to go on an adventure. We spent countless trips so far going to Panera, hiking, visiting the pet store, and much more.

3. She puts up with my dork-ness.

She is always calling me a dork, but she accepts me for it. We are two very different people, but somehow we just click. We accept each other for who we are and who we aren't.

4. She gets me to try new things.

Because of her, I have learned to try new things. Now I sometimes try new things even when she isn't around because she got me in the habit of it! P.S Waiting to try those real Maryland crabs with you this summer!

5. She is always encouraging.

Whether I have a big test coming up or just need motivation to finish an assignment, she is always there encouraging me to be the best I could be. We motivate each other every day and together have come so far since freshman year.

6. She is understanding.

There are numerous times where we together or individually went through things, but no matter the circumstance she is always understanding. Just because she may not have experienced the same thing before, she tries her best to put herself in the other person's shoes to gain an understanding.

7. She gets me to relax

I have always been an overactive person who always keeps busy, but once I met Stephanie, she was able to get me to relax. Since then we have spent countless times relaxing whether it was by painting, binge watching Netflix, or just going for ice cream. If it weren't for her, I bet I would be stressing much more than I already do.

8. She loves country music

Music taste may be a small aspect of an individual's life, but when you and your best friend have the same taste in music it makes life 1000x easier. Country music is one of our go-to's whether we need background music to do work, need to de-stress, or want a jam session in the car.

9. She makes life interesting.

Whether we are going on an adventure, doing something silly or doing something stupid, she always makes things interesting. She turns moments into memories. P.S. Can't wait for another memory of your birthday!

10. She is always there for me.

Even if I spend a lot of time with my boyfriend or other friends, she is always there for me. If I ever need to vent or just need to spend some quality time with her she is always there. I'm so ever grateful for her and cannot wait to see just how much our friendship will continue to grow. She will always be my Max.
