Growing up with older brothers is a true blessing. Sure, there were times they picked on you and you wanted them to move out, but there were also times that they taught you a lot of valuable things. There are lots of reasons why growing up with older brothers was the best.
1. They made you tough.
All those years of teasing and fighting made you develop a thick skin, and you don't take s**t from anyone because of it. It kind of makes all those years of wet willies worth it. Kind of.
2. They taught you a thing or two about sports.
Thanks to them, you can now properly argue a bogus call in a game and actually know what you're arguing about. Some of your favorite memories are watching sports games with them and learning everything you could about the game.
3. They taught you how to confront people.
All those years of storming into their room demanding to know who ate your leftover Chinese food really came in handy.
4. They made you look good in front of mom and dad.
Sure, you didn't clean your room, but at least you didn't put a hole through the wall fighting over the phone like your brothers did. Messy room > hole in the wall any day.
5. They were overprotective of you.
Any news of a new boyfriend
6. They taught you the best insults.

7. They gave you real life advice.
There was no sugar coating the truth when it came to getting advice from them. You knew that if you went to them, you would get the cold, hard truth no matter what.
8. They upped your coolness in school.
They taught you some cool things along the way, which made you a cooler person all around. Plus, if they picked you up or dropped you off at school, you were instantly a million times cooler for not riding the bus.
9. They let you do cool things with them once in a while.
Whether they let you tag along on a trip to the mall or let you hang out with their friends, you always thought hanging out with them was the coolest thing ever.
10. They had your back no matter what.
Sure, they got under your skin and drove you crazy, but at the end of the day you knew they would always be there for you.
