It seems that students from college never want to come home, and that is because coming home gets a bad rap. Most people think their hometown is boring. What people don't realize is the awesomeness there is to a weekend at home. Sure, coming home every weekend would be a little much. But, one weekend home is just enough to experience a really great time. Here are ten reasons why you might want to consider one weekend back in your hometown:

1. Comfort

It is comforting to come home to your hometown. With everything changing in your life, it is refreshing to see that almost nothing has changed. A drive through your hometown can send so many memories racing back to you. It is pleasing to know exactly where everything still is and all the cool spots in your town you enjoy.

2. Your Own Bed

The feeling of sleeping in your own bed is indescribable. Theres is nothing like laying down in your own bed after countless nights of sleeping on lofts, futons and random beds. Once you hit the pillow, you're sent into a dreamlike comfort of no return. That bed has been with you for so many years, and you're glad to be back.

3. Homemade Meals

Sure, the cafeteria food is great and all, but there's nothing like your moms cooking. And if you're lucky, your mom might just make your favorite meal. You finally get to sit down, relax and enjoy a meal you didn't have to walk to the cafeteria for. It's a beautiful thing.

4. Your Family

There's nothing better than being around your family. You might get the typical questions about your love life, education, etc., but it's totally worth it. They're always your biggest supporters no matter what. It's pure happiness to be around people who love you so much.

5. Old Friends

It's amazing that, even though you haven't seen your friends in a while, you can always pick up right where you left off. You've made so many memories with these people and you cannot wait to make more. Although, you've made new friends at your new school, nobody will ever be able to replace your original squad.

6. Driving

It's such a relief when you realize you don't have to walk across town like you do around campus. Or wait for the bus and figure out the bus routes. You can finally just hop in a car without worrying about parking tickets.

7.Your Favorite Radio Stations

After so many years of living in your hometown, you know all your favorite radio stations. It's incredible when you finally get in range of them and get to listen to them once more. It's an automatic jam session and you feel no shame when the person in the car next to you sees you dancing.

8. Full Pantry and Fridge

Finally!!! You look in the fridge and there's not just rotten milk and butter. There's actually some decent food to eat. And the pantry is full with all your favorite treats, probably due to your mom's anticipation of your visit. Yum!

9. Laundry

Not having to wait for a washer/dryer and pay for it? What a relief. You can finally do your laundry quickly and efficiently. Plus, you don't have to sit in the nasty basement laundry rooms. If you're lucky, your mom might even do it.

10. Your pets

Last but not least, your pet's excitement to see you is unreal. They've missed you so much and they're not afraid to show it. You finally get to snuggle with your favorite cuddle buddy. There's no love like the love from your pet.

There are so many wonderful things about going home. As Justin Moore would say, "wouldn't trade one single day here in small town USA."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
