1. It's a huge motivation to get outside more
I don't know about any of you, but I have always been one to get into the habit of just staying inside even when the weather was warm, unless I'm swimming or on vacation. Taking the plunge and buying an ENO inspired me to become more of an outdoorsy person, and I think I like that. I've started going to parks more, reading, and doing my homework outside in my ENO.
2. You can use it anywhere as long as there are trees
And honestly, you don't even need trees, just two sturdy objects that are a good distance apart. For example, someone I know went to the beach and hung hers underneath the pier, which looked like a beautiful spot to hang out. My favorite spots are my backyard, the campus mall, and I always take it along on my hiking trips in case there's a good spot at the top to set up and have a breathtaking view from a comfy seat.
3. It's really easy to set up and take down
Seriously, it takes about two minutes. And the best part is that the entire hammock condenses into one small stretchy bag. I swear I never believe it's all going to fit in that bag when I start putting it away, no matter how many times I've done it before, but it always does.
4. It's a great place to do homework or read
I must confess that I have not had much success with concentrating on actual school work while in my ENO, but it has re-inspired me to read more books, which college had gotten me out of the habit of doing. Reading seems like the perfect activity to go along with hammocking under a bright blue sky.
5. You'll feel super safe inside and it's great
I'm not even joking. If you lay down in it, the sides will cave in over top of you and you will be completely hidden from the world. But the sides are translucent enough that if you're reading or something like that you'll still be able to see what you're doing. The best part is being in the middle of campus knowing that people you know are walking by but have absolutely no idea that it's you cocooned deep in that ENO.
6. You can tan at the same time
This part is mainly for those of you who are more worried about getting a tan for bikini season than just being in the great outdoors. Just know that it isn't all cocooning. You can sit with any part of you sticking out in the sun. There are endless position possibilities.
7. It keeps you warm if it's a bit on the colder side out, and vice versa if it's really hot
Especially if you have a blanket, the cold will not bother you (as long as it's at least above 45, I'm not that insane). As for the heat, unless it's humid, the fabric shields from the sun pretty well and even feels cool to the touch until it's been in the sunlight for a good bit.
8. It's the most comfortable hammock I've ever been in: the fabric forms perfectly to your body
Throw in a blanket and pillow as well and you're set for life. Well not quite, but seriously I think I could spend a night in mine and be completely comfortable. The only downside would be waking up to a wet, dew-covered hammock in the morning.
9. They come in super pretty colors
Honestly, pretty much any you can think of, and a lot that you can't. For example, mine is light blue and light brown, which I never would have thought to combine for something like this.
10. They run at about a hundred dollars (if you choose the double nest which I definitely recommend because it's way roomier!) but it's insanely worth it, so don't worry about the price
Think of it as a wonderful investment in your mental health and happiness.
