10 Reasons Why Everyone Should See Billy Joel Live In Concert

Last Tuesday, I saw Billy Joel in concert for the second time. Although I had seen Billy two years ago, I wanted to see him again. When I found out that Billy Joel was coming to my hometown, I knew I had to get tickets. Billy Joel is not just any ordinary musician, he's the "Piano Man." No matter how many times you listen to his songs, nothing compares to hearing them live. If you ever see Billy Joel in concert, you're guaranteed to walk away with a smile, wishing you could relive the show over again.

1. He's Billy freaking Joel.

Simply put, this man is a legend. Billy Joel has had some of the greatest hits of the late 20th century and they are still popular today. Fun fact: Billy hasn't released a rock album since 1993 and he still sells out almost all of his shows.

2. You'll get goosebumps during "Piano Man."

Whenever you hear "Piano Man," it is your instinct to sing along. Hearing this song sung by thousands of people who are using their cellphones flashlights in place of lighters is breathtaking.

3. You'll probably have a new favorite Billy Joel song once the concert is over.

After my last Billy Joel concert, my new favorite song is "Zanzibar." Although I've heard the song a few times, hearing it live gave me chills.

4. You'll have a newfound respect for Billy Joel.

Did you know that Billy has written all of his songs? This man has written everything from ballads to rock. Also, he did all of the compositions for the songs. I bet you can't say that about all of your favorite singers.

5. He'll make you feel special about the hometown or state you're from.

If you aren't from Ohio, you aren't aware of how much our state loves "Hang On Sloopy." Whenever Ohioans hear the song, they immediately break out the O-H-I-O. At Billy's Cincinnati concert he put some of the song into "River of Dreams" and the audience loved it.

6. He's unexpectedly hilarious.

You would think that Billy Joel's jokes would be more popular on YouTube, but unfortunately there were few to none. Although Billy is known to make the same jokes at different shows, you're guaranteed to laugh every time. Also, he has recently been dedicating his song "The Entertainer" to Donald Trump at his shows.

7. He's not afraid to do cover songs.

Billy Joel is not afraid to admit that he admires other artists. Sometimes, Billy will cover a song during a concert just to mix things up. The audience loves it when he leads them in singing a Rolling Stones or Beatles song.

8. The man is almost 67 and hasn't lost his touch.

This man doesn't just travel around singing, he also plays the piano and guitar. A man of many talents might be ready to retire at 66, but not Billy. Billy Joel has been touring since the 1970s and he has yet to stop. Although his shows may not be as frequent, he can still hit the high note in "An Innocent Man."

9. The tickets are worth the money.

How many chances do you have to see one of your favorite artists, who also happens to be a legend, live in concert? No matter if it is Billy Joel or Paul McCartney, it is worth spending some extra money to see your idol.

10. You can see him live at Madison Square Garden.

For three years, Billy Joel has been playing at Madison Square Garden once a month. He is their first music franchise and he just sold out his 36th consecutive show.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
