Every person has probably had those cliche New Year's resolutions, but there are some that aren't so hard to accomplish. Some resolutions are hard to accomplish, but if you make them sound easy, you can strive for reward in no time. We're always saying "Oh, I'm going to work out every day," or "I'm going to quit junk food," but then we always falter and fall back into our normal ways. Here are a few resolutions that are actually achievable -- it just requires a bit of re-wording.
1. Go to the gym at least once a week.
Remember that one year you said "I'm going to go every day," and ended up not going at all? This is the perfect resolution for my gym enthusiasts who want an easy commitment to working out.
2. Treat yourself to one thing each week.
Instead of going out and blowing all your money, why not have a weekly treat? It could be anything you've been wanting.
3. If your goal is to eat healthy, try eating out as a treat 2 times a week.
Designate two days a week for a night out for dinner! You can try new places and still eat healthy at home. It's easier on the wallet, too.
4. Hang out with your friends more.
Get off your butt and turn Netflix off. Go romp in the woods with them or have a day at the mall.
5. Try to cook at least once a day.
Eating too much ramen? An easy way to make a meal is to get a crock pot. It cooks for you and you have a meal waiting for you when you get home!
6. Set yourself a weekly spending budget.
Are you a shoe or makeup fanatic? Then this goal is for you. A set allowance or budget for the week is good to keep you from overspending your entire savings.
7. Keep a good planner.
A good planner helps keep life stress-free. You can see what you're doing on a day-to-day basis. P.S. Make it pretty by customizing it.
8. Read one book for fun a month.
In college, we don't read for fun. We read for class. This gives you a break from the dull textbook and lets you indulge in an adventure.
9. Take an hour a day away from your phone.
Face it, we are all glued to our phones. Trust me, I know; my boyfriend tells me I'm on it so much. This gives you a break every day away from your tiny screen to actually socialize.
10. Start a new hobby.
If you are bored with your current hobbies, try finding something new! Maybe photography, knitting, or sewing...
11. Go out on more adventures.
Going on an adventure can get you away from all the hustle and bustle of life. It helps you enjoy what is around you.
