We all have those things that make us smile, whether it be something totally normal or completely unusual. Sometimes songs, quotes, little gestures, and even nature can bring about this joy within that even I can’t put into words.

Here are a few unusual things that make me happy…

1. The moon and the stars because they are just so so beautiful! I don’t know what it is but the beauty of nighttime and the opportunity to see the sky every night is truly a blessing in disguise. We all need to take a couple minutes out of our night to admire the moon and the stars, because they are definitely worth looking at.
2. Fireworks make my heart burst with joy and my face lights up almost as bright as the lights! It sounds crazy, but fireworks just work some sort of magic on me. They’re just so mesmerizing! If there’s one thing I have to have at my wedding, besides the groom, it’s fireworks for sure!
3. Flowers are so pretty and so colorful! They have a certain je ne sais quoi to them! Any color, any shape, any size -- flowers in general can always make me smile.
4. Babies, although it’s not unusual because babies make everyone happy! Little, innocent human beings just learning to walk, talk, and use their senses, and all, are the best reason to smile.
5. When people hold the door open for someone because that’s just the nicest gesture ever. It’s polite and whether you know the person or not, it shows that you care and are able to take a few seconds out of your day to hold the door for them.
6. Rain is one of the most unusual because so many people hate rain, but honestly rain is incredible. It’s when plants and trees get watered, causing them to remain healthy and have the ability to grow more! I love rain because I can relax at home as I catch up on some TV shows or get to read while sipping on a warm cup of tea.
7. Campfires are rare but they are so relaxing! Just sitting around a campfire and not doing anything is calming and sometimes stress relieving because you can just sit and stare. Sure, it sounds weird but I swear, it isn’t.
8. Writing letters makes me so happy! I don’t know what it is but sitting and writing on and on and expressing my feelings through words is also very relaxing. I don’t necessarily send it, but just letting it all flow out is great!
9. Hearing British people speak makes me smile as well for some odd reason. It’s funny to compare how American’s pronounce certain words and how Brits pronounce them! Plus, their accents are just beautiful!
10. Dogs make me smile like no other. I prefer big dogs like Huskies and German Shephards. Just seeing how funny, cute, and loyal dogs can be is amazing! I have always loved dogs and I always will.
