It’s a known fact that the life of a college student is a turbulent one. To say anything but is not only a lie but also an indication that you're not doing life right. Life is riddled with potholes and fissures that take you off the path you set on originally in September. From performing poorly in a class to being in a fight with a roommate or friend to feeling lost or lonely to dealing with loss or family issues, these are the times that God gives us these trials to stand fast against what we perceive as the conquering tempest.
As the depths of winter turns into the light of spring, so too does the intensity of the school year. Things may seem bleak now, but the next month—the final stretch before returning home—is a month that will define us. Here are 10 quotes to read as you push forward with projects, exams and conflicts from the men and women who experienced many failures before finding glorious success:
1. “Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail.” -- Ralph Waldo Emerson.

2. “The world breaks everyone, and afterwards, some are strong at the broken places.” -- Ernest Hemingway.

3. “If you're going through hell, keep going” -- Winston S. Churchill.

4. “The only man who never makes mistakes is the man who never does anything” --Theodore Roosevelt.

5. “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment” -- Buddha.

6. “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts” --Winston S. Churchill.

7. “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever” --Mahatma Gandhi.

8. “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” -- Maya Angelou.

9. "Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” -- Matthew 7:24-27.

10. “All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost” -J. R. R. Tolkien.
