The holidays are right around the corner. For many of us, we'll be traveling home to see family and friends. While this provides us with a much-needed break from our studies, it causes other stresses to arise. Not seeing your family for months on end makes them wonder about your health, wellbeing, but most importantly, what you plan on doing with your life. Here are 10 questions that every college student is tired of hearing.
1. What are you majoring in?
There's only so many times you can repeat "nursing" without wanting to send someone to the hospital.
2. What about your minor?
What about it? Are the 19 credits that consume every minute of my existence not enough for you?
3. Do you have a lot of friends at school?
Yeah, Grandma. Their names are Depression and Hopelessness.
4. How do you like living with your roommate?
It's great. You know that feeling you get when you discover all the milk is gone, but you already poured your cereal? That's what it's like.
5. What do you do in your spare time nowadays?
Oh you mean the 15 minutes I get in between classes?
6. How's the food at school?
Ramen and peanut butter is delicious.
7. Homework keeping you busy?
I'm just going to smile and nod because if I actually go into it, I'll cry.
8. What classes are you taking this semester?
It's probably something you don't understand, so Math and English.
9. Why are you still single?
I don't know, I guess everyone is scared off by my lack of enthusiasm for life.
10. So, what are you planning on doing with your life?
I still don't know, but I probably don't need your advice.
