10 Pumpkin Recipes To Go With Your PSL This Fall

The pumpkin spice latte returns to Starbucks on September 8, and with that every basic girl on the block will rejoice. As the leaves start to fall, students return to campus, and we all get entrenched in difficult classes so it's nice to enjoy some of the fun things about the season. Of course, I'm talking about everything pumpkin related. Jack-o-lanterns, scented candles, pumpkin pie and every dessert and appetizer you can imagine. Here are a few of my favorites.

1. Pumpkin chocolate chip brownies.

I've made these brownies again and again for chapter meetings, friends' parties, and any number of occasions. They are always a hit and so easy to make. I recommend making a double batch because these are sure to be gobbled up fast!

2. Pumpkin pancakes.

These pancakes seem like the perfect lazy Sunday afternoon brunch recipe. They are gluten free and the perfect thing to pair with some yummy sliced peaches, toast, and eggs.

3. Death by pumpkin cocktail.

So it's the end of the night and you've finished your pumpkin spice latte, but you still want something worthy of this lovely fall season. Try this pumpkin cocktail on for size and pair it with your favorite hot meal for a nice cozy night in.

4. Pumpkin mac and cheese.

I've seen so many pumpkin desserts and drinks but I never really see as many pumpkin comfort food recipes. I definitely think this recipe will fill that void for me this season. I'm the type of person that has to try mac and cheese at about every new restaurant I go to so if that sounds like you then you should check this out as well!

5. Pumpkin soup.

So your dad, and your roommate's dad, are coming to see your place for Dad's Weekend. Make their visit memorable with a special dinner featuring this recipe. Pair it with some steak, your dad's favorite sandwich, a juicy burger or some grilled mushrooms.

6. Pumpkin caramel sauce.

Put this on your ice cream, in your coffee, or on top of your favorite pie. The possibilities are endless!

7. Crock-pot maple pumpkin spice Chex mix.

Take your pumpkin fix on the hiking trail with this perfect trail mix recipe. If you're anything like myself your mom sent you off to your first apartment with a crock-pot but you still have yet to use it. Now's the time to break it out!

8. Honey sriracha roasted pumpkin seeds.

Sometimes we all forget about pumpkin seeds, but with this recipe I don't think you'll be able to do that. This spicy and sweet snack is perfect for watching your favorite fall TV premieres and scarfing down at tailgate parties.

9. Pumpkin dip.

This pumpkin dip is perfect for your first back to school bash. Grab some vanilla wafers, apple slices, and crackers and watch your friends devour this yummy recipe.

10. Pumpkin twinkies.

Update your childhood snack with this yummy dessert! Take the sweetness and soft center and make it even more yummy with this fun fall twist.

Now go grab your PSL and get baking!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
