Valentine's Day is almost upon us, and that means two things: chocolate and chick flicks. While Nicholas Sparks seems to be the reigning king of romance films here are some different and slightly off beat movies to watch this Valentine's day. So grab your popcorn and get to watching.
1. "Trainwreck"
"Monogamy isn't realistic." This is the motto of magazine writer Amy (Amy Schumer) as she lives her life free of boring and suffocating romantic commitment. When she finds herself starting to fall for the subject of the new article she's writing, a charming sports doctor named Aaron Conners (Bill Hader), Amy is forced to rethink her promiscuous ways and wonders if its time to start cleaning up her act.
2. "500 Days of Summer"
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel star in this off beat romantic comedy about a man who falls head over heels for a woman who doesn't believe in love. When Summer (Deschanel) dumps Tom (Gordon-Levitt) out of the blue, he decides to reflect on their 500 days together and starts to realize if he was ever really in love with Summer, just the idea of her.
3. "Juno"
When sharp tongued 16-year-old Juno Macduff gets pregnant by her best friend she decides to give the baby up for adoption. Things are looking well when she meets a seemingly "perfect" couple she finds in the classifieds, but Juno quickly realizes that even though she is about to be a mom, she is nowhere near being an adult.
4. "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"
This film is the hysterically funny look at how far one man will go to forget a girl. Peter's (Jason Segel) life seems to be in a rut when he is dumped by his celebrity girlfriend Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell) for an odd rock star (Russel Brand). Peter goes to Hawaii in order to get away and finally get over Sarah until he discovers that she and her new boyfriend are staying at the same hotel as him. Extreme awkwardness ensues.
