If you love YA novels, then these book series are some of the best I've read. Each one brings something different to the overarching YA genre. So, if you're looking to start a new series then here is a list to get you started!
1. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
The Raven Cycle follows a group of private school boys and the daughter of a psychic as they search for a dead Welsh king.
2. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
The Throne of Glass series is full of adventure, magic, and many love stories. After you start the series, you won't want to put the books down!
3. The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
While this series is actually a prequel to The Mortal Instruments, it is also a great standalone series. Set in the 1800s, the series follows a group of shadowhunters to fight the evil that humans can't see as well as a young woman who is taken in by the group.
4. The Diviners by Libba Bray
The Diviners is set in the 1920s in New York and follows a young woman as she works through her power, navigates New York, and solves a mystery with the new friends she's made.
5. Shades of London by Maureen Johnson
This series follows a group of people in London who can see ghosts. The main character has just moved to London to start her life at a boarding school when her life gets turned upside down.
6. Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige
This is a new and very dark twist on the story we all know. Dorothy is evil and only another girl from Kansas has the power to stop her. With cliffhangers at the end of each book, you won't be able to wait to get your hands on the next.
7. Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan
Cirque du Freak follows a young boy as he becomes half vampire and begins to realize his destiny. The series is full of twists and turns, along with the biggest surprise at the very end of the series. I loved every minute of this series!
8. The Mediator by Meg Cabot
I read this in middle school, however it's still one of my favorites. Suze moves to California from New York, but that's not the only change. She now has three step brothers, a new step dad, and a new school. When she arrives, she finds that her bedroom is already occupied by a 150 year old ghost.
9. Percy Jackson and The Olympians by Rick Riordan
The Percy Jackson series remains my absolute favorite and I find myself rereading it again and again. It's what started my love of Greek mythology and I definitely recommend the series to anyone who loves YA.
10. The Selection by Kiera Cass
If you love The Bachelor and dystopian novels, then this is definitely the series for you. This novel follows America Singer through a Bachelor type process for the love of the crown prince.
