You have absolutely had the feeling. You and a group of friends are having a movie night, and you log onto Netflix only to discover that the movie you had been talking about watching forever is NOT ON NETFLIX. It is the absolute worst.
Here is a list of 10 movies that are (currently) not on Netflix that absolutely should be.
1. The Oceans movies: Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve & Ocean’s Thirteen
The Oceans movies are my all-time favorite movies. They have an all-star cast of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Bernie Mac, Elliott Gould, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle and many other great actors. In the first movie, Clooney’s character Danny Ocean puts together a team to complete a Vegas casino heist. The subsequent two movies follow his team as they continue to pull off big-time heists.
2. 10 Things I Hate About You
This movie has a great list of late 90s movie stars like Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger and a (very young) Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Gordon-Levitt's character wants to date Stiles' sister, but she isn't allowed to date until Stiles does. So he tries to set her up with bad boy Ledger.
3. She's The Man
This teen movie starts Amanda Bynes (pre-mental breakdown) and Channing Tatum. Bynes decides to masquerade as a boy in order to join the all-boys soccer team and trouble ensues as she starts to fall for Tatum's character.
4. The Heat
Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock star in this comedy as a by-the-book FBI agent and down-on-her-luck police officer. The two initially clash, but they do their best to work together to catch a violent drug lord.
5. All of the Mary Kate & Ashley movies
Do you remember back in the early 2000s when your parents would take you into the local Blockbuster to pick out a Mary Kate and Ashley movie to watch at your sleepover? It was the best! Whether it was Billboard Dad, Our Lips Are Sealed, Holiday In The Sun, Winning London, or one of their many other movies, it was always a good time.
6. Date Night
This movie is comedy gold. It stars Steve Carell and Tina Fey as a boring suburban couple from New Jersey, who have the date night of their life when they decide to venture into New York City for the night. Mark Wahlberg, Kristin Wiig, Mila Kunis and James Franco also make appearances in the movie.
7. Hocus Pocus
Hocus Pocus is a Halloween classic and a favorite among college-aged students. It stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Milder and Kathy Najimy as witches. It is such a good movie that you can truly watch it any time of year, not just Halloween.
8. A Cinderella Story
In the days where most people are looking for their "tinderella" let's throw it back a 2000s sleepover favorite of pre-teenage girls everywhere. It features Hilary Duff as the Cinderella character and Chad Michael Murray as her Prince Charming. It also gave us one of the best rejection lines ever: "Waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointing."
9. Magic Mike
This one is self-explanatory. Ladies, am I right? Channing Tatum and Channing Tatum dancing.
10. The Notebook
For those times when you need to get a good cry on. Also because you secretly want to find a love like Noah and Allie's one day.
