10 Lyrics From Popular Worship Songs To Reflect On
Danielle's Discoveries

You're singing worship songs in church or in the car as your driving down the road when all of a sudden one of the lines you just uttered or heard speaks to you like never before. This may have been the first time or the hundredth time you've heard this song, but for some reason you never really focused on the lyrics until now. You may have just heard a truth you have been desperately needing to hear for some time now, or have just been left with goosebumps and in awe of how great our God is. The following is a list of lyrics from songs that continuously speak to my heart and give me chills no matter how many times I listen to them. I encourage you to listen to all of the songs listed and I pray that they will impact you just as they have impacted me.

1. "All of my life, in every season, you are still God. I have a reason to sing." - Desert Song, Hillsong United

2. "Your love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on me." - One Thing Remains, Jesus Culture

3. "Your grace abounds in deepest waters." -Oceans, Hillsong United

4. "My fears were drowned in perfect love." - No Longer Slaves, Bethel Music

5. "Living He loved me, dying He saved me, buried He carried my sins far away. - Glorious Day, Casting Crowns

6. "Earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal." - Come As You Are, Crowder

7. "A thousand times I've failed still your mercy remains." - From the Inside Out, Hillsong United

8."My flesh may fail, but my God, You never will."- Give Me Faith, Elevation Worship

9. "If His grace is an ocean we're all sinking." -How He Loves Us, David Crowder Band

10. "What if the trials of this life are your mercies in disguise." -Blessings, Laura Story

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
