Happy Halloween, ya Halloweenies!

If you are over the age of-- what? 13? 14? Let's say, if you are over the age of 18 (to be on the safe side) then you are no longer trick or treating. But you may still be indulging in some Halloween candy.

I thought it was a high time to discuss the BEST Halloween candy!

10. Hershey Bar

The Hershey Bar is one of the most loved Halloween candies.

9. Skittles

If you are not eating the entire fun size bag of Skittles on one mouthful, you are doing it wrong. No one ever minded getting Skittles in our Halloween bags. They are tasty enough but they are nothing too special. If you eat too many, your mouth starts to feel lumpy.

8. Sour Patch Kids

Shocked that Sour Patch Kids only ranked at number 8. Sour Patch Kids are not common treats.

7. Butterfinger

Butterfingers are a personal favorite of mine. Only ranked at number 7, they are still a fan favorite. Still, you are not going to complain when a Butterfinger gets dropped in your bag.

6. Nerds

I was pretty surprised to see Nerds on the list at all. The Nerds box you get on Halloween are typically pretty small. As with Skittles, they are pretty pointless unless you down the whole thing on one mouthful.

5. M&Ms

One of the Halloween lists I looked at had pretzel M&Ms on them, To me, that was pretty odd because they were not around when I trick or treated. In any case, M&Ms are pretty great...you know your opinions on them.

4. Kit Kat

On the surface of the Kit Kat is pretty plain. It is just a chocolate wafer yet, it works so so well. It also works very well because you are getting essential half of a full sized candy bar. That's way more then you an say for most of the fun sized versions of your favorite Halloween candies.

3. Twix

If I am getting a full sized candy bar on Halloween, make it a Twix please. There is just something about them that makes them so irresistible. On Halloween you can count on at least three versions of them: the full sized version, the one stick, half sized version and the fun sized version.

2. Snickers

No surprise here that Snickers us number 2! Again, it would easy for people to go out of their ways and get a full sized Snickers bar.

1. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

This was the blowout of the century. Do I have to extol the virtues of the Peanut Butter Cup? I don't think so. If you were lucky enough, you even got a Reese's Cup in the shape of a pumpkin and there is always something about those that taste even better!

Go out there and grab a Reese's

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
