In life you will come across many different things such as: people, books, shows and movies. These things and many others tend to stick with you more than you thought possible. Let us take the magical world of Harry Potter for example and see what life lessons we can take away from the books and movies we all know and love.
1. Hermione
Hermione is a widely known feminist character in Harry Potter. She has taught young girls everywhere that education is a woman’s best asset. She has taught all of us that it is ok to be bossy, nerdy and smart.
2. Luna
Luna is the character that was deemed weird by her peers. She was the person who honestly did not care what others thought of her and only did what gave her true happiness. She has taught all of us to embrace your true self. She shows us that the right people will accept everything about you and that those people will be your friends for life.
3. Neville
Neville is the one that everyone did not expect to be brave. He was always clumsy and was never taken seriously. However, in the end he turned out to be a hero. He taught us all that anyone can be a hero, no matter how unlikely.
4. Ron, Harry and Hermione
Ron, Harry and Hermione are the three best friends that everyone seeks for in their life. This trio of friends are loyal and always there for one another. They show that you should be with people that are your best friends. These friends should challenge you, bother you, and someone who honestly needs you. These are the people who will be in your life forever.
5. Ron
Ron is someone who throughout the movies has been constantly scared of many things. He was seen as someone who would not stand up for himself. However, as he grew up and was surrounded by people who would give him strength, he became brave and true. He taught us that when your dearest friends need you, that you will always be by their side.
6. Hogwarts
Hogwarts is seen as just a school, where kids go and learn how to be the best wizard they can be. However, it is way more than that. Hogwarts taught us that home is not just where you were born and live. It is a place where you feel comfortable, where your best friends are, where you feel loved.
7. Dumbledore
Dumbledore is the fatherly figure throughout the whole series. He is someone who people can go to for whatever may be bothering them. He is a mentor to all and the giver of the best advice. One of the things he says that goes to show just how intelligent he is when giving advice is “ It is our character that shows who we truly are, far more than our abilities.” He teaches us how to live a true life and how to be a good person. He shows us that it doesn’t matter what you can or cannot do, it is who you are and how you treat people that truly matters.
8. Dobby
Dobby is a character that shows true loyalty. At first he is a slave of his master and is forced to be loyal. However, once he meets people who truly care for his well-being and are his friends, he shows his loyalty to them with every action. Dobby shows us that to be loyal you must be true to yourself and true to your friends. You should be honest and fair.
9. Hagrid
Hagrid is the character who has the biggest heart. He is the one who is always there for Harry, Ron, and Hermoine whenever they need him. He taught us all that one should have big heart and be accepting of everyone.
10. All Harry Potter characters
Every Harry Potter character has taught us a very important lesson. They have all taught us that family is not defined by blood. Family is who makes you comfortable and at home. They are the ones who are honest, loyal, and who respect your decisions. Our friends are our family and that is the sweetest thing.
