Halloween Party in 2 hours? No problem

So, Halloween is riiiiight around the corner. Literally. I usually plan my costumes a month in advance. But sometimes those Halloween parties sneak up on you and you have zero time to find a good costume. Here's a simple list of 10 costume ideas to solve that problem before you have it.

1. Three Hole Punch

This idea is straight from Jim Halpert himself. It's so easy too, just wear a white shirt, tape three black dots to one side, and viola. This is also an easy switch for group costumes. Each person just tape a different amount of black dots to their shirts and you can be a die. Simple really...

2. Identity Theft

Buy a pack of name-tags from the dollar store, write a bunch of random names on them, and this clever costume will have people laughing all night.

3. Ginger Bread Man

Okay so this one had me laughing for like 10 minutes. Granted, you can only really pull this off if you have red hair. But it's still very clever. Plus, the bread would make a really nice snack(:

4. Jake from State Farm

Jake from State Farm jokes will never get old for me, so neither will costumes. All you really need for this is a red polo and uh... khakis.

5. Risky Business

Kind of over used. But still a classic. White button down. High socks. Sunglasses. And of course, no pants are the best pants.

6. Black-Eyed Peas

This is a funny one that you can do with a group of people. Punny costumes are the best costumes. All you need for this is black eyeshadow/eyeliner and a black shirt. Just cut out a "P" and you're all set!

7. Wednesday Addams

This is a costume that I really want to do, as it's a perfect combination of simple, cute, and scary (The Addams family can be preeetttty creepy if they want to). The clothes Wednesday wears are basically staple pieces you can find in any girls closet. Just braid your hair and you're all set.

8. Ceiling Fan

Comfy and cute. What more could you ask for out of a costume???

9. Beanie Baby

Being an animal for Halloween is so overrated. But if you add the red heart with "TY" on it? Instantly you can be cute and funny, and not cause everyone to roll their eyes on your lack of creativity.

10. Error 404

Your friend texts you about a Halloween party that night and you have no idea what to wear? Easy.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
