" Hamilton: An American Musical" has taken the musical theater world by storm. When it moved to Broadway, box office sales went through the roof and critics were fawning over it day after day. After opening several months ago, ticket prices are still sky-high and every performance is very well attended. They even performed live from their stage and aired it for the Grammy's on Feb. 15.

Lin-Manuel Miranda not only wrote the book, lyrics, and music; he stars as the main character, Alexander Hamilton himself. The time and effort he poured into this show really paid off, as it is wildly popular. The music varies — but has a catchy feel to it throughout the whole musical. It's grown on everyone, and though it is set during the birth of our nation, some quotes resonate heavily with the modern day college student.

How could you say no to reading this?

1. “I never had a group of friends before.”

An accurate description of every freshman’s thoughts on the first day of orientation.

2. "There're a million things I haven't done, just you wait."

The perfect response to when your friends asked you if you did your work yet. Just you wait, pals, I’ve added all the work to my never-ending, never-completed to-do list. I’ll get there someday.

3. "He looked at me like I was stupid. I'm not stupid."

When you ask your professor a question and they give you that look…and you just know you messed up this time. But still, defend your honor, you’re not stupid! Well, at least, some of the time you aren’t.

4. "I'm young, scrappy, and hungry."

In other words. I’m too little to be away from adult supervision. I’m so disoriented, it’s a miracle I even make it to class. And with all the stress-snacking I do, you would think I wouldn’t be hungry anymore. But you would be wrong.

5. "I don't have a dollar to my name."

A direct quote from every college student ever. Don’t ask me if I want to go places, or do things. Chances are between sleeping and work, I don’t have the time. But usually, I have no money.

6. "Why do you write like you're running out of time?"

Because my essay is due tonight at midnight/because I forgot this was due yesterday at noon/because I am cramming for a test and I am running out of time.

7. "But they don't have a plan, they just hate mine."

Ah, the group project. The dreaded time of year (or day if you have lab partners who don’t cooperate) where you have to try and coordinate with other humans who simply don’t like your ideas. The worst part is when they tell you they hate your idea, but they do not have an idea themselves. Thank you for being intransigent.

8. "Dying is easy, young man, living is harder."

The exact thought during final exams when it’s just a week of studying and sleeping and taking awful tests over and over again. Living through finals is hard.

9. "I made every mistake, and felt the shame rise in me."

That feeling when you walk out of an exam and realize the answers to all the questions you guessed, and actually got wrong. The best way to recover is to curl up in bed and hope that no one notices you silently crying into your textbook. We’ve all been there.

10. "Look around, look around. How lucky we are to be alive right now."

When you reach the end of the semester and you have a break, finally. Just look around, take a deep breath, and realize how lucky you are to be alive. (If you’re still breathing, it means you survived everything you thought you would never make it through!)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
