Now that the winter break is finally here, you're probably going to be travelling sometime within the next couple of weeks to visit family. Why not branch out and check out some cool songs that you should totally add to your music playlist for the trip? I hope you find a new song that you'll want to add to your playlist. Happy holidays and safe travels!
1. "Love Somebody" by St. Lucia
So, just a couple of months ago, my best friend and I went and saw this band in concert. It was one of the only concerts that I've ever been to. It was an actually pretty cool experience, and the band definitely surpassed my expectations. I recommend checking them out. They've got a hipster/laid-back vibe about them that will have you listening to all of their songs. "Love Somebody" in particular was one of the songs that made an impression. It's definitely an example of their hipster vibe, and it's a great song in general. You'll be singing it for days.
2. "Breaker" by Chaos Chaos
This is an upbeat song that's catchy and fun to sing along with. It's perfect for car rides.
3. "Stole the Show" by Kygo ft. Parson James
For some reason, every time I listen to this song, I picture myself in a club with those cool strobe lights and a lot of dancing. This is another catchy song that you'll be singing for days and even give you the urge to dance (however, I don't recommend dancing while driving). FYI, another cool song that you should check out by Kygo is "Firestone."
4. "Toothbrush" by DNCE
Sure, the song is simple. I still think it's a fun song to sing and dance along to.
5. "24K Magic" by Bruno Mars
When isn't Bruno Mars a good artist to have on your playlist? All of Bruno's songs are catchy and amazing. At least, I think so. His latest song is another one of his masterpieces that you should totally listen to during your car trips.
6. "Feelings" by Maroon 5
Okay, so the lyrics are kind of explicit, but the song as a whole makes up for it.
7. "Fools" by Troye Sivan
This song is so laid-back, and yet it gives me a party-vibe at the same time. It starts off slow, but once it reaches the chorus, the instrumentals give off a hip vibe that make the song perfect for your playlist.
8. "Gravity" by Sara Bareilles
You have to have one slow song on your playlist. It's a nice break from your pumped up music, and you can really test your vocals out. Plus, if you have your best friend with you, belting out a sad song at the top of both of your lungs makes any car ride complete.
9. "Electric Love" by BØRNS
I'm not trying to spoil anything, but this song is on the soundtrack for "Nerve," and I always feel pumped up (probably because of the adrenaline rush in the movie) while listening to this song. This song will get you back into your groove after listening to "Gravity."
10. "WDYWFM?" by the Neighbourhood
This song gives me a haunting and dark vibe, but I still think it's perfect for a trip. It is for me, at least. I hope you'll enjoy it, too.
