Each new year brings new resolutions. Everyone compiles a list of how they can change and how to better themselves. Well, according to statistics, only 45% of people actually bother making New Year's resolutions. 38% of people never even bother with the tradition and only 8% of people accomplish their resolutions. Of the resolutions, 47% pertain to self-improvement, 38% are health related and 34% deal with money. The percentage of people who maintain their resolutions in the first week is 75% and those who make it six months is 46%. After being presented with all of this data, it seems rather discouraging. What is the point in even having resolutions? That's for you to answer for yourself. People will still pine for the new year in hopes of change. Below are some funny resolutions that could help you with your list.

1. Worry less

2. Stop procrastinating

3. Drink less caffeine

4. Be more patient

5. Work out

6. Suck less


7. Study more


8. Stop drinking as much

9. Mind your own business

10. Stop using social media often

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
