Finals are here! Just when we want to start enjoying Christmas and not worrying about school. We all still have a few long nights of studying and preparing ahead of us. How do you stay focused for all these hours of studying? I eat to stay awake and focused on the task at hand. A great combination of junk food and healthy food keeps me on track. I also drink plenty of water and anything with caffeine to get me through! This is a list of ten foods that I usually eat to get me through finals.
1. Gum
Okay, so I'm not really sure if you can consider gum a food, but it definitely helps me to stay focused. I've heard that the repetitive chewing helps you remember the information you're studying, but I don't know if there is any truth to that. It helps me stay focused.
2. Chips
Chips are salty and wonderful! They are the perfect snack to have when you're reading material that is really boring. When I study for science I usually have a hard time staying focused. When I eat some chips after each paragraph it helps me get through.
3. Popcorn
I eat popcorn just like I eat the chips. In the middle of studying a subject that I'm not all that interested in.
4. Nuts
Nuts do wonders for focusing. They are healthy for you and they help you concentrate, or at least they do for me. They're salty and full of fiber.
5. Oreos
I love Oreos! They are one of my favorite cookies. I'm sure you could replace them with whatever your favorite cookie is. These help me keep on going. When I feel like I'm going to quit and just give up on good grades, my Oreos put me back on track.
6. Apples
Apples are just what you need to perk and feel awake after long hours studying.
7. Pizza
All of these other foods are snack foods, pizza is the meal of champions. I eat pizza all the time when I'm preparing for finals. It's relatively cheap and you can have it sent right to your house so you can maximize on study time.
8. Strawberries
Strawberries, like apples, are great for perking you up and helping you stay awake for finals.
9. Sour Patch Kids
These little bursts of sugar are amazing when it comes to studying. They taste delicious and eating one after every definition you get right is an incentive you can't pass up.
10. Chocolate
Chocolate is a food that is just good for the soul. With all of the stress and lack of sleep, chocolate is the perfect remedy.
