Exam week is upon us, and between all of the packing and pining over going home, it's sometimes just a little too easy to forget that it is, well, finals week. So here are just a few reminders as we head into the last few stressful days of the school year... because, you know, these are obviously things you might forget.

1. You do indeed have finals this week.

You probably have them next week too, since we're on the subject. So if you've seen a bunch of stressed-looking students forming a line outside of the library, I think it's safe to assume that's why they're there.

2. Now is not the time to start binge watching a new TV show.

I know it's tempting, but every time you click on that next episode you're only opening yourself up to endless hours of television and procrastination at its finest.

3. It's also not the time to make multiple new social media posts.

Don't open that Facebook app. Now is not the time for a new Instagram post. Okay, you can use Snapchat, but only for purposes of keeping your streaks alive. Just stay away, stay away at all costs.

4. You don't have any conflicting exam dates, do you?

I know, I know, you're a studious college student who of course has checked to make sure none of their exams are at the same time, I mean what am I even talking about, the deadline for rescheduling has already passed... right?

5. Study, study, and then maybe study.

Odds are you probably aren't going to be able to just go in and hope for the best with finals, unless of course, you study. So as much as you probably don't want to, it's probably for the best that you go to the library and get those flashcards ready.

6. Go ahead, stock up on coffee.

You can stock up on energy drinks too, or lots of junk food and snacks. You know, whatever you need to get through multiple days in a row without sleep.

7. Get some sleep on the days you don't have exam.

Since we're talking about caffeine, it's probably important to note that you shouldn't be taking in too much of it, so try to catch up on sleep when you can.

8. Keep up with exam dates.

Of course you've already done this. You're an awesome college student who's always on top of their work, but just in case it happens to have slipped your mind, don't forget to check (and remind and remind and remind yourself) to see what days and times you have exams.

9. Please, please show up for your exams.

Arguable the most important reminder, don't forget to actually go to your exams. Make some coffee, do whatever you have to do, but when that exam is being passed out at eight a.m. the next morning, you should probably be there.

10. Your grades don't define you.

Lastly, and yes, on a somewhat more serious note, it's important to remember that you grades don't define you. One bad exam isn't going to end your college career or keep you from a promising future, so while it's important to try your hardest, it's also important not to let finals run your life.

Keep these things in mind, and you should definitely be all set to rock finals week. Now, get back to studying!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
