We all heard the saying above but after spending a week home for thanksgiving as well as a month for Winter Break these feelings can't be true enough.
1. Excitement

With the stress of finals, we all start to look forward to being in our own beds, seeing our dogs, catching up with high school friends and most importantly not have to worry about any classes for a whole month.
2. Relaxation
After the excitement wears off, relaxation sets in. Whether its reading a book on the beach, catching up on those Netflix shows we put aside for studying, or taking that much needed nap.
3. Content
Not being used to being home for long we feel out of shorts and kinda at a limbo. Until we finally get on that home schedule whether it being picking up our siblings from school or restarting that high school job we once had again.
4. Nostalgia
Maybe it has to do with the fact that our siblings are back from their own winter break or driving by your small town and seeing others do things that you previously have done. Nostalgia tends to kick in right about now as you can't help to think about what the old you would have done a year or two ago.
5. Absence
Don't get us wrong we all love our home friends but being miles away from your besties tend to make us miss our school friends just a little bit more.
6. Yearning
It about this time in our winter break that everything our family members seem to do annoys us. This leads to that yearning to be back in school becomes ever so constant.
7. Happiness

As the days of break start to dwindle down. That excitement we felt in the beginning of start to emerge once again. As the countdown of days become lower, we become happier.
