Sometimes a rainy day is perfect. The thunder rolls, you crawl under a blanket, falling in and out of sleep as your favorite movies unfold on your television. But then there are days when all you want is to go do something fun and exciting, but the rain comes to town and puts a stop to your day. However, if you live in Lexington, Kentucky, you should check out these places on your next rainy day.

1. SkyZone or Get Air.

This place is perfect if you have kids. They will run around and use all their energy instead of going crazy inside. And hey, even if you don't have kids this can be a cool place to check out with friends.

2. The Movie Tavern.

Who doesn't love movies? Who doesn't love food? This place gives you the best of everything allowing you to chow down and enjoy cinema at the same time.

3. Kentucky Theater.

If you want to feel like you've time traveled this is your place. The feel and vibe is awesome and you'll leave having a good day.

4. Breakout Lexington.

Put your minds to the test and see if you and your pals can escape in the allotted amount of time.

5. Malibu Jack's.

Looking for games this is the place for you.

6. Champs.

Come play laser tag and mini golf. This place is sure to clear your rainy day blues.

7. The Mad Potter.

Looking to express yourself? Go paint ceramics with your own unique touch.

8. Pinto's Palette.

Want to create your own masterpiece? This place will have you forgetting its even raining outside.

9. Southland Bowling Alley.

Don't even start to say that you don't like to bowl. Bowling will give anyone fun. Not to mention you can't beat bowling alley food.

This place is meant for kids but with the right mindset anyone can enjoy it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday.
