February may be halfway over, but there's still a lot going on in this month.

February is more than halfway over, and with Valentine’s Day past, it may seem like the month is basically gone. With less than a month until St. Patrick’s Day, it may also seem like nothing exciting is happening in between. However, here are 10 things still to come this February that you should be excited about!

1. Cheap candy

Valentine’s Day is over and stores want to get red hearts and chocolate roses out of their stores quickly so Easter candy can hit the shelves as soon as possible. Aisles at CVS, Wegmans and other candy stores will have their best (and worst) Valentine’s Day candy on sale. So stock up! Gooey caramel chocolate still tastes the same whether or not it’s in heart form!

2. The Oscars

Even though the Oscars are under fire for racial discrimination, the show will still air on February 28. Big movies including “The Big Short,” “Mad Max,” and “The Room” are nominated for best films, so there’s still time to check them out. Even if you’re not interested in who will win Best Actors or Film, this year is the year to watch. Many celebrities including Jada Pinkett Smith, Spike Lee, and Will Smith have spoken out by saying they will not attend or support the Academy Awards, while many other celebrities are still tip-toeing around the subject. This year’s Oscars are not be missed!

3. Kesha’s career

On February 19, Kesha will attend a hearing that will ultimately decide whether or not she can produce music. This court date will also determine whether or not her manager, Dr. Luke, will face charges for assault and abuse, and whether or not Kesha will face charges for defamation and breach of contract. Who knows--by the end of February we could be seeing new work from a freed Kesha... or be watching a messy trial unfold.

4. The return of "Girls"

On February 21 "Girls" will return to HBO for its fifth season. Hannah’s life is still a mess, Marnie is getting married, Shoshanna is in Japan and we still don’t quite know what to think about Jessa. If you haven’t seen this hilarious and unapologetically honest show written by Lena Dunham, you still have time to binge-watch seasons 1-4 on HBO Go or through “not so legal” internet streaming sites. This is a must see for our generation.

5. Kanye’s new album

Kanye’s latest album, "The Life of Pablo," has literally just dropped and everyone is going nuts. Hollywood Reporter has already reviewed the album and claims the subject matter of the album's 17 songs range from sex with his wife, Kim Kardashian, to dissing Taylor Swift. He also drops hints about children and his personal life with a vulnerability we rarely see.

6. Presidents' Day sales

According to Punxsutawney Phil, spring is near--but the below-zero temperatures and accumulating snow makes us think otherwise. However, stores aren’t following this crazy weather pattern for spring clothes. Many stores use Presidents' Day to have “crazy” sales to get rid of winter inventory. So check out the sales rack to stock up on sweaters, long-sleeved shirts and cozy scarves and gloves that you will still definitely need for the next few weeks. Nordstrom and H&M are both having crazy winter sales, and even Best Buy is having a Presidents' Day blowout!

7. Leap year

The six hours that go unaccounted for each year add up to create a whole extra day every fourth year--a leap year. While there’s no parades or a day off from school, that extra day is pretty special. Spend your extra day doing something special like hanging with loved ones or just treating yo self to some pizza.

8. "Fuller House"

This is not a false alarm. "Full House" is back. Season 1 of the new series premieres on Netflix on February 26. It’s our favorite childhood sitcom “all grown up”--DJ is a widowed mother of three and Stephanie and Kimmy move in with her. Get excited for a revival of your first crushes (Uncle Jesse, duh), your favorite sisters and, of course, your favorite TV Dad and the original King of Dad jokes: Danny.

9. Easter candy

Maybe you’re not a chocolate person? Or your local grocery store or CVS only has the bad kind left after the clearance sales? Well, fear no more--grocery aisles are already filling up with jelly beans, Cadbury eggs and Peeps. They will be here for the next two months, and then no more holiday candy until Halloween! Get it while it lasts!

10. Spring!

It may not seem like it right now, but spring is on its way this February. We will get familiar spells of warmer weather and catch a glimpse of some brown grass. It may not be pretty, but we sure know it means warmer weather and summer are getting closer! Enjoy the winter while it lasts, though. Have you gone ice skating in the cooler yet? Or have you been sledding down the hill? Make sure you check off your winter bucket list!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
