You can normally find a package of Pillsbury crescent rolls for $2 to $4 in any grocery store around town. It is one of my many cooking essentials, and I'm here to tell you why. You can make desserts, meals, appetizers, and snacks with them, and most recipes don't take very much time at all -- exactly the type of recipe that students need who are taking classes, going to club meetings, and working.
1. S'mores monkey bread.
I haven't tried this recipe myself but I must say I love a good bonfire and roasting s'mores is a good way to recreate that feeling. Invite over some friends, grab some sleeping bags, queue up Netflix for "Camp Takota" or "Wet Hot American Summer," and pop these babies in the oven and you've got a perfect camp adventure right in your living room2. Cheesy stuffed crescents.
I have tested these, and they are one of my favorite things to make when all I have around the kitchen are some spices, cheese sticks, and crescent rolls. They are quick and easy to make and fun to snack on throughout the day.
3. Cabbage and beef crescents.
I think these would be perfect for tailgating or watching the game on your couch. They give you some protein, veggies, and dairy all in one. They are easy to snack on and would be good to make with different types of dips if you're hosting friends.
4. Chicken broccoli crescent roll ring.
My roommate and I love making food for when our Ddads visit for Dad's and Family Weekend. This year it falls on Nov. 6 to Nov. 8, so think about pulling out this recipe. It's easy to make but looks like you've been working on it all day.
5. Cake batter crumb crispies.
I think everyone has at least one box of cake mix just lying around waiting to be used. I think you should finally break it out and make this yummy recipe. Maybe you want to make something a little different for your friend's birthday coming up. If that's the case I think this recipe would be perfect for the occasion and easy to make even in cramped dorm kitchens.
6. Pumpkin pie crescents.
With fall comes pumpkin recipes and this one does not disappoint. Grab your pumpkin spice latte, cozy sweater and scarf, and bundle up with these yummy crescent rolls. Try them for a lazy Sunday staying in or for a quick snack before checking out the Halloweekend parties around town.
7. Oreo crumb crispies.
If you're in a sorority you know in the fall more sisters will be getting littles. One of the biggest parts of big/little reveal is all about showing your love with gifts. What better gift is there then food? Fill up a decorated mason jar with these babies and your little is sure to be impressed!
8. Spanakopita crescent rolls.
If you're a carnivore like I am you know the struggle of finding the perfect vegetarian recipe for when that one relative or friend comes to town. You want something they'll love, but also something you'll appreciate and that will fill you both up. I think this recipe is the perfect fit for such a situation. The name may be hard to say but these are definitely not hard to eat.
9. Bacon crack.
To be honest, I want to make these as soon as possible. I love bacon far too much and the author of this recipe herself says these are beyond addictive. I think these would be perfect for breakfast in bed with some eggs and toast on those days you just want to relax.
10. Cinnamon crescent twists.
These remind me of going to the state fair and eating churros and a million other sugary things. The key ingredients are butter, sugar, cinnamon, and crescent rolls and they sound like the perfect snack for your sweet tooth.
