If you're anything like me this summer, you are either extremely busy and have no time to yourself and on your weekends from work all you want to do is sit on the couch and watch a movie (and maybe shed a few tears for your lack of a social life). Maybe you're on the other end of the spectrum: so bored that you don't know what to do with yourself and if you watch one more episode of Grey's you might actually go crazy (but thank God for the new season of OITNB, am I right?)
Here is a list of the most disturbing movies that you'll find on Netflix: all consisting of the weird, the ugly, and the straight up category of "this is the worst movie I have ever seen."
10. "Silver Linings Playbook"
This is a strange one that I had to actually watch for an assignment for my psych class. If you like diagnosing people with mental disorders, this is a good one for you. (That sounds extremely disturbing, but it's interesting, I promise).
9. "The Pill"
And you think that your ex is nutty....
8. "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas"
Please remember the tissues and prepare yourself beforehand to watch this movie- that's all I'm going to say.
7. "Blackfish"
This is only disturbing because it's real life. #savethewhales
6. "Devil"
Be prepared for the biggest plot twist you've ever experienced! Also, very cheesy. Just a warning.
5. "The Changeling"
Please don't ever take your 9 year old to see this movie like my mom took me; it is scarring.
4. "The Loft"
This is every man's dream, so maybe this movie should stick to being watched by the ladies to avoid giving guys any ideas.
3. "Charlie St. Cloud"
This is another one with a plot-twist ending. It's a bizarre one.
2. "The Best of Me"
As cute and sweet as this Nicholas Sparks movie is, it's a tear-jerker with an ending that will keep you up at night.
1. "Ask Me Anything"
This is my all-time favorite and have watched it maybe 10 times; it's my guilty pleasure. Based on the novel, it's not a movie that I don't suggest watching once you put the kids you're babysitting to sleep. If the parents were to walk in...don't be expected to be invited into their home again.
