Disney Parks

Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, is known mainly for the atmosphere, the rides, and, most importantly, the food. Although the restaurants on site are usually to die for, sometimes the food you just grab on the go is better than the food that can be found in the restaurants on site. Here are fifteen snacks that can be found around Walt Disney World that are the perfect way to quench your hunger.

1. Dole Whips

Dole whips are, in my opinion, the best snack at Disney, and there are so many different ways you can get one. They are soft serve made from Dole pineapple juice. It comes in regular pineapple flavor, vanilla and pineapple swirl, or a float with vanilla soft serve and Dole pineapple juice, and pineapple soft serve with Dole pineapple juice. This yummy treat can be found at Aloha Isle in the Adventureland section of Magic Kingdom and at Captain Cook's in the Polynesian Hotel.

2. Cream Cheese Pretzel

The cream cheese pretzel is something that doesn't originally sound like it would go together, but the sweet and salty combination is amazing! This salty pretzel filled with sweet cream cheese is simply a must while in the parks! It can be found at The Lunching Pad in the Tomorrowland section of Magic Kingdom.

3. Cinnamon Roll

This cinnamon roll is literally as big as my head. But it is SO good. The perfect amount of cinnamon and cream cheese icing makes this sweet snack a great one to share! This cinnamon roll can be found at Gaston's Tavern in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom.

4. LeFou's Brew

LeFou's brew is something that guests either love or hate. Personally, I love it. It's an apple juice slushy with a wild berry foam on top. Although some may think that this drink is too sweet, I think that this drink is the perfect way to cool down on a hot Orlando day. This treat can also be found in Gaston's Tavern in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom.

5. Butterfinger Cupcake

This monstrous cupcake is a chocolate cupcake, filled with chocolate fudge frosting, topped with a mountain of vanilla buttercream and Butterfinger crumbs. This cupcake is delicious, huge, and perfect for chocolate lovers. It can be found at the Starring Rolls Cafe in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

6. Mickey Pretzel

Although it tastes just like a normal pretzel with salt, the fact that it's shaped like Mickey Mouse makes it even better! This pretzel can be found around all four Disney parks.

7. Mickey Ice Cream Bar

Yet another classic, this Mickey Mouse shaped chocolate ice cream bar is the perfect way to cool down when walking down the streets of Disney. This ice cream bar can be found around all four Disney parks.

8. Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich

This twist on the classic French cookie is simply to die for! All it is is house made ice cream or gelato between two macaron cookies, mixing the classic ice cream sandwich and macaron cookie sandwich. This treat can be found in the France Pavilion in EPCOT.

9. Carrot Cake Cookie

This is definitely no ordinary cookie! This huge and delicious sandwich is made out of cake-like carrot cake cookies with cream cheese icing in between them. This is definitely the perfect snack to eat after taking a plunge on Tower of Terror! This snack can be found in the Writer's Stop in Disney's Hollywood studios.

10. Kakigori

The kakigori is a delicious Japanese take on a classic snow cone. This is the perfect treat to eat while taking a stroll around the World Showcase. This treat can be found in the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT.

11. Nutella Waffle Sandwich

This snack is more like a meal, but it's perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth! It's a light and fluffy Belgian waffle, topped with Nutella and assorted fruit. This sweet sandwich can be found at Sleepy Hallow in the Fantasyland section in Magic Kingdom.

12. School Bread

This bakery fresh treat is deliciously different from classic American bakery treats. It is a sweet bread roll, filled with vanilla custard, and covered with icing and toasted coconut. This simple treat is simply delicious. It can be found in the Norway pavilion of EPCOT.

13. Popcorn

Popcorn at Disney World always tastes way better than popcorn at home or even in a movie theatre. Plus, the popcorn at Magic Kingdom has different flavors depending on which land you are in. This treat can be found in all four Disney parks, but is best in Magic Kingdom.

14. Churros

Churros are another classic snack that tastes way better in Disney World. Mainly because they are pretty authentic. These delicious churros can be found around the parks, but the best ones are in the Mexico pavilion in EPCOT.

15. Funnel Cakes

Although this is such a classic treat, Disney yet again does it ten times better. These funnel cakes can be topped with any type of fruit, ice cream, and more, making this treat completely customizable! This treat can be found at Sleepy Hallow in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
