As a college student, I am guilted into eating the majority of my meals on campus due to the outrageous price my parents pay for my meal plan. On the rare occasion that my friends or I have the extra time or cash to eat off campus, there are quite a few places that are too good and too cheap to pass up. I asked around campus for some fast food guilty pleasures, and the responses literally made me hangry (hungry + angry). So for you starving college kids, if you haven't hit any of these places up, you need to do so ASAP. Try not to let your mouth water or your stomach growl as you read about these.

1. Cookout

A college town favorite, you legitimately cannot pass up 99 cent chicken nuggets or a BBQ plate consisting of barbecue pork, cole slaw, hush puppies and french fries for less that five dollars- not to mention there are too many milkshakes to count that can satisfy any sweet tooth.

2. Sonic Drive-In

Even though Sonic is nothing new or fancy, there's just something about a 6 pack mozzarella stick and some tater tots that can make any long night studying worth it.

3. Gigi's Cupcakes

With over 100 locations mostly in the eastern/southeastern United States, Gigi's has become a fast favorite for gourmet cupcakes. You get more icing than your body should be able to handle, but the sugar rush is worth it. Tip: rip the bottom half of the cupcake off and place it on top of the icing to make a cupcake sandwich to save yourself an icing mess!

4. Raising Cane's

Chicken and crinkle fries and Texas toast and cole slaw. Enough said.

5. Jimmy John's

I didn't become a big sandwich person until college. How can you pass up food being delivered to your door faster than you can close out of Netflix and make it to your dorm lobby?

6. Buffalo Wild Wings

Call me lame as heck, but I just had BWW for the first time last week. Boneless Thursday is my new favorite day of the week (don't forget to post a Snapchat story in your BWW crown because if you didn't post then it didn't happen).

7. Taco Bell

There are far and few things more satisfying than sitting in your room and watching a football game while munching on a Doritos Locos Taco and sipping on a Mountain Dew Baja Blast. Just try it once for me.

8. Popeyes

If you can't go home for Sunday lunch with your fam, just grab a group of friends and head to Popeyes for some chicken and green beans. Close enough.

9. Insomnia Cookies

End your fast food indulgence with some huge, warm, gooey Insomnia cookies. They deliver until 3 AM, so late night cravings can be satisfied before you can even get your shoes on.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
