1. Up
Right off the bat, we learn the story of Mr. Fredricksen and his late wife, a story sure to bring a tear to your eye. You thought the tears were over until the end brings you tears of joy when Russell becomes like Mr. Fredricksen's grandson.
2. Toy Story 3
Again, this movie has two tear-jerking moments. First, when Andy gives his beloved toys away, Toy Story fans afar cry over the memories shared with these lovable characters. Then, as if we hadn't already suffered heartbreak enough, the scene with the incinerator made me lose it. Best trilogy ever.
3. Marley and Me
This was one of those movies where, even though I knew what was going to happen, I still watched it. On top of that, I still cried. Why did I do this to myself? In movies, it seems like animal deaths are always worse than human ones. "You're a great dog."
4. Bambi
You don't have a soul if you don't sob every time you hear that gun shot as Bambi runs away through the snow.
5. Monster's Inc
"Kitty has to go." When Boo goes to open her closet, but is only left with a real closet, my heart tore into pieces. Come back, Sully!
6. The Lion King
As a kid, Mufasa's death was pretty explicit. Disney didn't really try to hide anything here. Kind of frightening, but it ended up being my favorite animated movie of all time.
7. The Land Before Time
This was one of the first movies I remember seeing. For nights, I would ask my mom "Why did his mommy have to die? She did nothing wrong!" This cruel, cruel world.
8. E.T.
Who knew you could become so attached to a CGI character? "I'll be right here."
9. Finding Nemo
Again with the mom dying. Sheesh, Hollywood. Take it easy on the kids!
10. Remember the Titans
I'm only calling this a kids movie because I watched it almost every day in elementary school. To this day, I hold back tears when they break racial stereotypes, receive motivational speeches from their coaches, and especially during Gary Bertier's funeral.
