With all the craziness of college, it is easy to sometimes forget about God. We sometimes forget to talk to Him as much as we should and forget that He is always right here with us. We forget that we can go to Him not only in hard times, but in times of happiness as well. God knows how stressful our lives can be, but He continues to walk with us despite the fact that we sometimes place him on the back burner. With that being said, here are 10 bible verses that I feel like every college student should always remember.

1. “…Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

2. "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." -Philippians 4:13

3. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”-Philippians 4:6-9

4. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”-Jeremiah 29:11

5. "Don't be afraid. Just believe." -Mark 5:36

6. “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”-1 Corinthians 16:13

7. "Be truly glad there is wonderful joy ahead."-Peter 1:6

8. "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” -Psalm 55:22

9. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” -James 1:2-4

10. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” -Psalm 46:1

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
