Now, I don't claim to know what EVERY Millennial wants for Christmas this year, but these are the top ten gift ideas for the average Millennial that I think we can all agree upon. With Christmas fast approaching here are some gift ideas for my Millennial friends!
1. iPhone Case ($40)
There are a whole host of iPhone cases out there that can leave anyone feeling overwhelmed. Some of the best cases I have found come from independent artists that sell their designs on sites such as Etsy and Society6. One such artist I absolutely LOVE is Taylor who creates these beautiful designs, such as the one above, for $40.
2. iPhone battery case ($99)
We Millennials are becoming the generation that is constantly on the go! What better way to be sure we stay connected than to have a portable battery case for our phone! There are many brands out there but the one I like the most is the Mophie battery case. It is not as heavy as other competitors and has a long battery life with an assortment of colors to choose from.
3. Gas cards (Varies)
Let's be real here, gas prices are ridiculous these days. A tried and true stocking stuffer, gas cards are a perfect gift idea for the Millennial who is constantly on the go. I personally know how far a gas card can go because one of these cards allows me some extra cash to spend on a good dinner or those pair of shoes I've been looking at for months!
4. Warm socks! ($18.95)
In this often incredibly cold winter season a lot of my college friends are asking for one thing: a warm pair of socks! There are many types and brands out there but my favorite has to be REI's SmartWool socks. These socks were designed for long hikes but are also useful for the everyday Millennial. You can wear these socks for a good 3-4 days before they need to be washed and they are incredibly warm!
5. Google Home ($129) or Amazon Echo ($50)
Technology has been developing over the past few years and many amazing and innovative products are coming out. Two of my favorite new products are Google Home and Amazon Echo. Essentially, these two products are the same with assistance available by way of speaking to the device. It can site anywhere in your home and can help best when you really need to know how many ounces are in a cup as you are making your favorite recipes in the kitchen. Google Home can be hooked up to your phone and tell you what you have on your calendar for the day and Amazon Echo includes apps such as NPR News and Spotify. It's the technology of the future and any Millennial would love to own one of these!
6. Dashboard phone mount ($13)
Many Millennials depend on their phone for two things while driving: music and navigation. To keep yourself and others safe while driving many are turning to dashboard mounts for phones in order to keep one's focus on the road! This is the perfect gift idea for any Millennial who wants to listen to music and see where they need to be going.
7. A good pair of headphones ($130)
Let's be real, those Apple headphones you get with your iPhone seem to tangle themselves just by looking at them and often last a short time before you need to shell out cash to buy a new pair. I myself switched headphones after I went through my 4th pair of Apple headphones. There are manny durable headphones out there but the best of the best, over the years, has been Beats by Dr. Dre. There are many variations but the one in the image above tends to be the most popular: Dr. Dre EP Headphones. A genius gift idea for that frustrated Millennial untangling their headphones.
8. A cool looking coffee mug ($25)
As we Millennials study like crazy or kick some booty in the work world we need a cool mug to stand out from our co-workers and study buds. One of the best retailers out there for cool and creative coffee mugs is World Market. One of my favorite, go-to coffee mugs is my giraffe mug! Thank about this gift idea for your favorite Millennial.
9. A super comfortable blanket ($128)
Along with those warm socks, we Millennials could do with a warm blanket! One of my favorite online stores to shop is United By Blue for two reasons: the durability of their products and each purchase goes toward efforts to clean trash from our oceans and rivers. Many Millennials are eager to help those around them and their environment so what better gift idea than a nice, warm blanket and a donation to the environment?
10. Gift card to any major clothing store (Varies)
Sometimes you just may not know what fashion style your Millennial is going for these days. No worries, many appreciate a gift card to any major clothing store such as Macy's. That way you don't have to go through the hassle of figuring out if that jean vest they've been wearing for the past couple of months is really the style they are going for these days!
These are just some of the many gift ideas out there that Millennials are interested in. Let me know what your favorite gift ideas are in the comments below! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
