We all want that Pinterest room we ogle over, but how can you achieve your goal when you're a broke college student? Whether you're trying to keep your room simplistic and organized, or trying to make your room the one everyone is jealous of, here are 10 ways you can easily (and affordably) amp up your dorm room on a budget.

1. Add a tapestry.

Tapestries are a fabulous way to make it look like you tried when you really didn't. You are basically spicing up your entire room and adding pops of color by throwing a blanket on your wall. Can it get any easier than that?

Get anything from boho prints to an inspiring quote to a burger, express yo'self. The possibilities are endless.

2. Get creative with your bedding.

You can either sleep on plain old sheets every night or take the opportunity to spice up your room. In those tiny dorm rooms, your bed usually takes up most of the space anyway- so make the most of it! Practically every shop that sells plain bedding also sells decorative styles.

Whether you go marble or urban, make it something unique to you.

3. Lift your bed.

Dorm rooms can already be small enough. For a great use of space, lift your bed up to get extra storage underneath and add a cute ottoman to use as a step. Some dorm beds can lift up to four feet high which is a whole lot of extra space for you to store your things. If your bed doesn't have the option to lift on its own, invest in some bed risers.

4. Get rid of blank wall space.

I'm not advising you to conceal every inch of your wall in a photo, but filling up some of your blank space is a great way to enhance your room without breaking the bank. You can either print some of those beautiful Insta pics straight from your phone or inspire yourself with some quotes to start your day.

5. Light it up.

Whether your dorm allows it or not, Fairy Lights are an effortless way to light up your room and make you feel like a true fairy.

6. Choose a color theme.

Choosing a color theme can make choosing accessories for the rest of the room so much easier. If you’re looking for specific colors for random items, Amazon is the most affordable and reasonable place to look.

7. Use organizers to save space.

Let's be real, in college it is very easy to get unorganized and messy. Using desk organizers and storage cubes for makeup, desk supplies, clothes, food, shower stuff and more, will not only save space but help you keep track of it all.

8. Hang mirrors.

Hanging mirrors in several places in your room not only makes it easier to check your outfits but also makes your room lighter because of the reflecting light.

9. Set up a bed lamp & books.

You’re bound to have a lot of downtime in college- and if you don’t, you will definitely want to read in between classes or before bed. Keep a bed lamp and some books nearby. Reading something other than textbooks will keep your mind busy and give you an outlet into another world from your busy college life! Not to mention, reading a good book is both cheaper and will last longer than going to the movies with your friends.

10. Coordinate with your roomie.

Lastly, the more coordinated you are, the better! If you and your roomie coordinate, it makes for a more aesthetically pleasing room to anyone who walks in. If everything matches, your room will look like it was just pulled out of a magazine. And, let's face it, it will be the most Instagramable room on your floor.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
