One More Day: A Poem
Lexis Twentier

"The pain felt today,
still lingers inside.

You run away and laugh,
over the pain you cannot hide.

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow,
the hurt turns into a knife.

The terrible hurt you feel,
tries to take your life.

You know you are strong,
so you say...

I want to live,
just one more day."
