8 YouTubers That Have Changed My Life And They Don't Even Know It

A few years ago, I came across one YouTuber's Instagram and discovered people actually make a living off of putting videos on the Internet. Granted, it's not easy to become successful in the YouTube world, but there are great individuals that make videos strictly for fun. I'm sure you've heard of famous YouTube stars such as Jenna Marbles, Bethany Mota, and Tyler Oakley, but over the years I've subscribed to many underdogs. Some of which had only 30,000 subscribers when I started watching their videos and now have close to a million! In some ways, it feels like I've grown up with some of these YouTubers. Most of them are around my age, attend college, and live normal lives. It's easy to relate to them. Being subscribed to 58 channels, I watch YouTube as much as the average teenager watches TV or Netflix. Forget "Netflix and chill." It's more like "YouTube and chill" for me. Most people I've talk to don't understand how I could religiously watch 50 YouTubers' weekly or daily content, but you have to give it a try to understand. Even if you just find one YouTuber you like, it's worth it. I quickly wanted to show some appreciation for the YouTubers that aren't always in the spotlight, but are still considered successful. These individuals cheer me up and motivate me, but don't even know it. They deserve a round of applause.

1. Ayydubs

Alyx is hands down the funniest YouTuber I'm subscribed to (and that's including Jenna Marbles). It's because she's also the realest. She started out as a beauty guru until she realized she wanted to make her channel more comedic. This was a great decision on her part. I know that when I click on one of her videos that it's going to be original content far from being staged. She's not afraid to put anything on the Internet. She'll tell you about every embarrassing past hook-up and forget bleeping out curse words, she's over that. Recently, her Tinder date videos have been a huge hit. Who else would talk a stranger into filming their first date so she could post it on the Internet for 400,000 subscribers to see?

2. Beautybaby44

Now, better known as Lindsey Hughes. She is one of the first beauty gurus I subscribed to so she holds a special place in my heart. Since we're the same age, I definitely feel like we've grown up together. She bought her first car, moved into her first apartment in LA, and graduated from FIDM, all while I was starting to create my own life too. Today, she's making healthy lifestyle videos and mostly vlogging her daily life. Oh, and Lindsey's new puppy, Squirtle, is a Chihuahua/Duchshund mix and the cutest dog I've ever seen. My day wouldn't be the same if I didn't check to see if she posted a new video.

3. Marissa Lace

Marissa Lacer is the strongest and most motivating YouTuber I watch. She shares her journey through a tough childhood and over weight struggles. She's since lost a ton of weight and helps her subscribers live a healthier life while vlogging her daily life, which includes her two dogs and new boyfriend, "Hot Greg." If I need an extra push to get me to the gym one day, I watch one of Marissa's videos and remember all of her hard work that paid off. I'm surprised she isn't more popular on YouTube. She certainly deserves more attention and appreciation.

4. HelloKaty

Although she's been slacking recently, I have to forgive her since she's in college and a sorority. She's still the most down-to-earth YouTuber and overall good person. Never has she taken her YouTube fame for granted. During the summer, she volunteers at a camp in order to remind herself of how lucky she is while also making a difference in less fortunate children's lives. She utilizes her platform in the best ways possible by spreading positivity and giving back to the community.

5. Sarah Belle

This is the girl you wish you were best friends with. She's gorgeous and has amazing style. Every clothing haul she does makes want to go out and buy lottery tickets so you can win big bucks and dress just like her. Plus, her new apartment is decorated so beautifully that I wish I could tell her to quit YouTube and become an interior designer (except not really, I'd miss her). Basically, she is life goals.

6. Claudia Sulewski

She's grown the most successful since I started watching her videos three years ago. Today, she has over 1,200,000 subscribers. Claudia's editing skills are extraordinary and completely self taught. You can tell she puts hours and hours of work into one video. Recently, she's modeled for Maybelline and the ads are featured in numerous magazines. I just hope her fame doesn't distract her from what got her there in the first place (cough, Bethany Mota, cough).

7. Aspyn + Parker

Seriously, they are relationship goals. Newly engaged at 19/20, which seems young, but they swear it's normal in their home state, Utah. Aspyn Ovard has been a successful YouTuber for many years, but recently she decided to share her vlog channel with Parker. Now, almost every day, we can sign onto YouTube and stalk their daily lives together. They are the cutest and I wish them the best in their futures together.

8. That's Heart

Last but not least, is the most adorable Asian YouTuber, Heart. She is the sweetest human in the YouTube world. Plus, her puppy, Junior, and new kitten, Barry, make you want to pet your computer screen. She's a beauty guru with her own makeup line yet she still makes time for her family and personal life. I don't worry about her getting caught up in the fame because she's so genuine. Her and her boyfriend, Arnold, are also a great couple. They've been together for what feels like a lifetime and you just want to give them both hugs!

There you have some of my favorite YouTubers. Honestly, I could go on for days about all of them but neither of us has time for that. Instead of searching funny cat videos (which I admit I do too), try finding a YouTuber who makes interesting and entertaining videos for their career. You'll find that these people love what they do and truly care about their subscribers. There are some inspiring people on the Internet and I don't know what I'd without them!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
