If you are too busy focused on someone else's wins, you will forget to celebrate your own.
Social media is great for keeping up with family and old friends but do not let it distract you from your own life. Remember that most people only put the best parts of their life on social media; their life may seem perfect on the outside but it probably isn't. Don't waste time wishing for a perfect life, it will never come. Instead focus your energy on celebrating the good things.
Be what you are supposed to be, not what someone else is supposed to be.
Not everyone has the same talents and abilities. Focus on perfecting your strengths and overcoming your weaknesses. Accept that you will be better at some things than others; not everyone is meant to be a surgeon. If we judged a fish on its ability to climb a tree, we would think that fish was incapable and useless.
It is okay to use other people as an example but an example is not meant to be copied exactly.
If you are trying to better yourself, taking others people's advice is a really good idea. Spending hours scrolling through fitness accounts wishing you had a better body is time wasted. If you are unhappy with where you're at, do something about it. No one ever prospered by watching other prosper and wishing they could too.
You are not a number of shares or likes.
A number of likes on an Instagram does not define you. So what if someone gets more likes than you? When I introduce myself to someone, I do not include the number of shares on my latest Instagram post; it is irrelevant. If you stop worrying about getting the perfect picture to post, you would probably enjoy the moment a lot more anyway. Enjoy your life without trying to emulate someone else's.
The world would be a pretty boring place if everyone was the same. Stop comparing yourself to other people and just live your life.
