Movies can be classified as one (or more) of the several different categories. Disney movies are typically labeled as motion pictures best suited for children or the family to watch.
But I say it's A-OK to sit down with a bowl of popcorn to watch the latest Disney movie. And it's also more than okay to go to Walt Disney World or Disneyland without any members of your group being a child. This is what Walt Disney wanted: a passage into a world where anyone can be a kid and not feel ashamed for periodically not acting or thinking their age.
If a person needs some persuading to watch Disney movies and/or take a magical trip to Walt Disney World/Disneyland, take a look at the list compiled below.
1. A mental break from life in general.
Most Disney movies are 1.5-2 hours long. Take a short break from stress and watch a movie (or several as I like to do). Remember, there will always be something to stress about.
2. Let out the kid in all of us.
Even those people who claim they are mature have rare moments of non-maturity. Make sure those inner-kid appearances are frequent.
3. Drink around the world at Epcot.
Try to take a sip of refreshing alcoholic beverages at all 11 countries in the theme park. Warning: this is not an activity to do with kids around.
4. There is always something new and exciting.
Technology development with both rides and movies. New rides and new food in parks. New story plots in movies.
5. The lessons Disney teaches.
Although these lessons appear simple, they are the staples of life.
6. See others' enjoyment from Disney - both movies and theme parks.
Most people can find at least one aspect of a Disney movie they enjoy, and the same goes for the parks. Embrace those moments of joy, because these memories will last a lifetime, especially when you can see the magic unfolding and the amazement swelling on another person’s demeanor.
7. Relive your first Disney experience.
Every time you watch an old time favorite Disney movie of yours, or return to one of the parks, memories will be embedded from your previous experiences.
Disney is for all ages, whether you're 5 or 85, so why not enjoy it?
