Your Week As Told By New Girl's Schmidt
HelloGiggles

The days come and go, and some are longer than others. We look forward to the weekends and dread the Mondays. Can’t find the words to describe how you are feeling on these days? Here, let Schmidt explain it for you.

1. Monday

Your alarm clock goes off, and it’s Monday again. You may even tear up a little at the realization that you have a full five days until you see another weekend. Fear not though, you will make it through this Manic Monday.

2. Tuesday

You survived Monday, and now you are just four days away from the weekend. You are stressing over all of the things you have to accomplish this week and just want to sleep in. You just have to make it through today, and tomorrow is half way to the weekend.

3. Wednesday

You made it to the halfway point, but that offers little relief. You are working against deadlines whether they be for work or school. You wanted the days to fly by, but now that they have you just want to freeze time to accomplish all that you need done. Have a little faith though—you can get it done. Then you can reward yourself this weekend.

4. Thursday

Where did the week go? It’s already Thursday, and you find yourself making plans for the weekend. It’s so close you can almost taste it—or rather taste the stiff drink you’ll be ordering this weekend. It’s crunch time though at work, but you use the motivation of the extra sleep you will get this weekend to push you through it all.

5. Friday

Finally, it’s Friday! You survived the work week and met all your deadlines. Put on some comfy clothes and relax or get dressed up and go out. The choice is yours—you deserve it! Whatever you decide to do, you can let loose and have fun because the weekend is officially here!

6. Saturday

Did you sleep in today? Good, you deserve it! Perhaps that extra sleep can refuel you from the drinks you had last night or the one too many episodes you watched on Netflix. Have you made your plans for the weekend? Maybe you will stay home and recuperate from the week, or you might even go out with some friends. Take advantage of whatever you decide to do—Monday is just around the corner!

7. Sunday

Ah, the day of rest! Whatever your plans are for this day, I hope you relax. The dreaded Monday is just a night’s sleep away. So calm your mind and breathe on this day—you’ll be grateful that you did come tomorrow!

Though there are some days we love and some that we hate, they always seem to fly by. It may not seem like it at the beginning of the day, but by the weekend, you usually wonder where the days have gone. So take a moment and appreciate every day you are given, and try your best to make it a beautiful one!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
