Because getting one degree hotter requires pressure.

Senior year is a lot harder than I expected it to be, but I will survive it. Between all the new life decisions you will have to make, and all the events you have to attend you feel as if you are constantly behind, and always missing something. Although you will either be done with school forever, or just continue onto your next degree remember to stay current, and make memories. You only graduate once, and you will be one degree hotter when you finish. Here are some of my favorite things that are helping me survive this crazy journey.

1. A Planner

A planner helps you stay organized and grounded. It help keeps track of all the assignments that pop up, and helps keep track of all of the crazy events you want to participate in. I love my Happy Planner because I can add pages and change the cover. I also love using my planners as scrapbooks too to remember all the craziness later.

2. Notebooks

I love using Rae Dunn notebooks, not only does it make for a great Instagram picture, but it also has awesome paper. It can make you want to take notes when it looks cute. Pair this with some colored pens and you look like you are so put together even though you are far from it.

3. Flair Pens

These by far are the best pens. Not only do they come in so many colors, but they also write so smooth. When you have to write pages of notes studying to finish strong, these are the best pens to use.

4. Business Smart Clothes

During senior year you will most likely have to go on interviews, go to job sites, and give presentations. Part of getting the job, is looking the part. Some suggestion from me for business clothes are from Loft, J Crew, and Dress Barn.

5. A Sturdy Bag

The last thing you want to happen is for all your research projects you spent $15 dollars to print, and 50 hours to write and format fall into a puddle of water on the ground. Get a good bag. It is worth the splurge.

6. Spotify

Spotify is $5 a month for unlimited music. It will help you stay sane and study better. It is worth it.

7. Coffee

Do I need to explain? No I do not.

8. Study Guides

If you are going to grad school, or need to pass licensing tests study guides will be your best friend. Not only do they help you pass, but they help you realize others have gone before you and survived these horrible state tests.

9. Friends

Friends will help you get through these rough times by showing you how to have fun and making you forget the work for a little bit and help you make memories that will last for a lifetime. Do not forget to hang out and be a human.

10. Support Your Favorite Senior

You all, if you have ever been a senior before show us some love, we need people to love on us and support us.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
