It is in our human nature to complain. We complain about school and having too much homework, or the work is difficult. We complain about our jobs and how we do not like them, or we complain about our coworkers or our bosses. Complaining is just what we do. We feel sorry for ourselves for the things that we have, not realizing how important they are. We easily take things for granted.

Think of how blessed you are. You are lucky enough to have an education and to learn about the things that you need to know to work professionally in the field that you are interested in. Your education is the first step to getting your dream job. It may be hard, but it will be worth it. You are also lucky enough to have a job. You may be working a minimum wage job that you hate, but at least you are making money to be able to support yourself even just a little bit. There are a lot of people out there who are not as lucky as you are to be getting an education or to have a job.

You should be thankful for the little things that you have such as food on your table and a place to sleep at night. Whether you are getting help from your parents or working three minimum wage jobs to be able to feed yourself and pay the bills, you should still be grateful that you have those jobs and are able to eat. You have access to food and are able to feed yourself daily. Do not take that for granted because there are many people who struggle to get food and constantly wonder where their next meal is going to come from.

We often take our family for granted. We do not always spend the time with them that they deserve. Your parents have been taking care of you and raising you your entire life, yet you may not even take a couple of hours to spend with them, instead, you would rather hang with your friends. You may view your siblings as annoying and fight with them daily, instead you should see them as a blessing. Siblings can be automatic best friends. Spend time with them and realize that you can do so many fun things with them in your life. Appreciate the people who love you and would do anything for you.

There are so many amazing things in life that we take for granted. Do not overlook the little things and appreciate what you have. Even though some things can be difficult, you are lucky to have them. Appreciate your family, friends, school, and work, because there are people who are not as lucky as you are to have those things.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
