No matter what college you choose to attend, finding a parking spot on campus is next to impossible. After dropping hundreds of dollars on a little parking sticker you still spend your mornings wasting time and gas money. During your college career, you've probably have thrown in the towel once or twice and parked illegally just to maintain your sanity, usually resulting in a parking ticket.

The search for a parking spot causes a roller coaster of emotions, from hopeful to helpless to wondering why in the world you bought a parking spot in the first place if you're just gonna circle the deck five times. It doesn't matter how early you leave for your class, you could leave 45 minutes before and still not find a spot until minutes before your class.

Who better to depict your dramatic fight to find parking than the drama queen herself Kim Kardashian?

Taking the first turn into the parking deck mentally preparing for what's about to ensue

Giving yourself optimistic self-talks and thinking "maybe today is my lucky day!" Spoiler alert: today is most likely not your lucky day.

Creeping up the levels looking for people leaving so that you can stalk them to their spot

Throwing your head out the window yelling "hey are you leaving!?!?!" Or "can I take you to your car?"

When you exert energy on stalking someone to their car and they turn around and mouth "I'm not leaving"

Looking back at them with eyes about to pop out of your face, a huge fake smile, and a clenched jaw. Trying to calm yourself down after and convincing yourself that your open parking spot is right around the corner!

Speeding down the ramp cause you saw an open spot on the other side, then watching that spot be taken but some lucky individual

...right in front of your eyes. That could have been me.

Sitting in front of the staircase praying for someone to walk out to their car

Maybe the harder you stare the more likely someone will magically walk out and grant you their spot.

After 20 minutes of circling you spot someone walking to their car and zero in on them

Slowly stalking them at 5 mph repeating "please be leaving, please be leaving." Hunching over your steering wheel, looking like a creeper with your hands digging into the wheel from excitement

Seeing them pull out their keys and unlock their car

FINALLY. And with three minutes to make it to a class that's a five-minute walk away... awesome, just awesome.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
