Most coffee shops have about the same thing: vanilla lattes, coffee, frappuccinos and people. Spending most of my time doing homework and hanging out inside of coffee shops, I’ve noticed the consistencies of the types of people who walk in. It’s kind of like the cafeteria of your old high school; each group has their own place in the coffee shop world. Let’s dive in and see what kind of people we can find.

1. Studious kiddos.

These are the people who bring all of their homework to their coffee shop and refill their coffee mugs about five times throughout the day. They sometimes break down in tears and sometimes scream, but they find some sort of comfort in the walls of their favorite coffee shop.

2. The people who desire to be studious kiddos.

These are the people who bring all their homework to their coffee shop, but they also bring friends. They act like they are going to do so much homework, but they end up just hanging out and talking about the meaning of life.

3. Baristas that hate/love their life.

There are two types of baristas in the world: the ones that love life and the ones that hate it. Some baristas have always dreamed of being a barista, and they have found complete fulfillment in making people happy by giving them a cup of energy for their day. However, there are other baristas that hate their life, and cannot wait for the day that they quit.

4. The church group.

On weeknights around 7 p.m., a group of high schoolers with leather Bibles will come in and place four tables together. They’ll probably be wearing skinny jeans and they’ll definitely be praying. Coffee shops are the best place for these teenagers to get together and discuss their weeks and the Bible stories they’ve been reading.

5. The mom squad.

Usually in some sort of workout outfit, but their hair is always done perfectly, these are a group of women who sit around a coffee table gossiping about what bratty, little Johnny did this week in the classroom.

6. Professors after hours.

He comes in with a backpack full of papers to grades, and he always asks you about the book you are reading. This is the professor you’ve never had, but you’re always a little scared you’ll have him and won’t be able to come back to your go-to coffee shop anymore.

7. Basic frappe girls.

These are the girls who walk into coffee shops in hopes of being trendy, but only come out with a frappuccino because they don’t actually like coffee.

8. Gamers AF.

You may have never noticed these people but I promise, if you squint your eyes a little bit, you will see them. They sit in coffee shops and play Internet games for several hours. That’s about it about them.

9. The Instagramming hipsters.

These are the ones with their phones above their coffee cups hoping that they could capture just enough lighting to create the perfect Instagram photo. They are usually in skinny jeans and wear pretty cool hats. They come often in nice outfits and you’re always a little jealous of their style.

10. The girl who is always here.

Obviously, this is me. My body is indented into the chair I’m always sitting in. And I’m sure the baristas always roll their eyes when I walk in.

However, coffee shops are my home and I'm going to keep coming back forever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
