As I settle into my very favorite giant chair, of course having to share it with my sister, while the rest of my family sits down around us and the fire crackles in the background, I'm reminded of one of my very favorite parts of the Christmas Season. Christmas movie nights. If you know me, you know I'm a huge fan of movies, so it's no surprise that I live for the Christmas movies that we only get to watch once a year (or twice if you're ever feeling the Christmas spirit randomly right in the middle of the summer. Don't worry, no judgements here we're all done it). Sitting by the fire and laughing with your family or friends, surrounded by the beautiful Christmas decorations, I mean cmon this image could be a post card. So with just 7 full days until Christmas (!!!!!!) let's count down the days with a perfect Christmas movie count-down.
6 Days Till Christmas, December 18th- The Grinch (Jim Carrey Version)
I just recently watched this version of the Grinch with my friends before we left to go to our respective homes for the holidays, and I was blown away! When I was a kid, I was appalled at the remaking of a perfect Christmas classic, but boy was I wrong! This movie is the perfect thing that gets you in the holiday spirit, and also giving you more than a couple laughs along the way.
5 Days till Christmas, December 19th- National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
This is my go-to Christmas movie if I'm looking for a laugh. With Chevy Chase playing the dad desperate for his family to have a good Christmas, yet nothing seems to go his way, from the very beginning of the movie you'll be choking on your hot chocolate with laughter.
4 Days Till, December 20th - The Santa Clause

3 Days Till Christmas, December 21st- Home Alone
Honestly, if you didn't low-key wish you could be Kevin (at least for putting together the booby traps), you're lying. A classic fun-filled Christmas movie that'll jump start some little child's dream to be an engineer or professional booby trap maker, this movie is one of everyone's favorites for a reason!
2 Days Till, December 23rd- Elf
Will Ferrell's most coveted role as the sweet and clueless elf on a journey to find his real father in the big apple. There will definitely be laughs and maybe be some sentimental tears as Buddy the Elf will steal your heart with his crazy antics and lovable personality. You definitely don't want to leave this one out in the cold.
Christmas Eve, December 24th- It's A Wonderful Life
This movie has such a special place in my heart. It's my dad's favorite Christmas movie and he started the tradition of watching it every single Christmas Eve back when I was a little kid. Ever since the first time I saw it, it stole my heart and has the coveted spot as my favorite Christmas movie of all time, something special my dad and I share. If you haven't seen this movie I will warn you, it's a long one, and the first time you watch it, you will cry, but it's all worth it for the greatest Christmas movie of all time.
Christmas Day, December 25th- The Classics
"The Year Without A Santa Clause," "Rudolf The Red Nose Reindeer," "Santa Claus is Coming To Town," "Frosty the Snowman"... All the loveable classics you grew up with as a kid, after the day of visiting family and opening presents, re-watching the cute clay animation stories is the perfect way to end the Holiday itself and the Holiday season.
