Reasons Why The Older Generations Do Not Get The Younger Generations

There is a new generation gap between many young millennial's and the older generations. There are those that feel that the generations before opened the millennial's to their present addictions with a multitude of strong technological feats and a glimpse of the future. Many millennial's have known that video gaming and cell phones will always have a place in their young lives. Without the Steve Jobs of the world, there would have never been a more influential life to live. Though, those that invested in the development of these overwhelming gaming and modern technology components have succeeded in providing consumers what they wanted.

Young Millennials have severe addictions and the complexity of it all is that they spend more time communicating by cell phone, Ipads or computers rather than meeting face to face with other people. It is awful to believe. Many of this generations' beliefs stem from their awareness of the obvious and feel that the Boomer generation or Generation X has no idea what they represent. Part of the surprise about the generation gap is that the younger generations feel sheltered and they feel that they can strongly bounce back from the issues that other generations shunned. A lot more often, the gap generation feels they have the time, technology and coming of age tools. They feel more self-sufficient and in the know.

Many millennial's beliefs have considered the fact that religion is a big disappointment since this generation focuses on issues like AIDS, sex, sexual orientation, abortion and gender equality, something that many religions consider taboo. This does not appeal to those millennial's. The millennial's choose not to ignore it. However, it begs the question of why previous generations want to know why the gap generation is acting the way they do, resulting in another question being asked, which generation is better? Is the gap generation better than the rest when it comes to religion or other hot topics?

Those that claim that there is miscommunication between the older generation and the younger has amassed over time. The youth are aware that everything will hold up well but the older generation feels that the youth of today is riding on the coattails of those before. As though they are getting away for being dependent on others. The excess amount of time that millennial's spend on their phones doesn’t seem to help their cause.

The older generations don’t understand the modern symbolism of the tattoos or music of today and though they smile and let it pass, there are many that disagree and wish that their generation dictated today’s youth. It doesn’t work that way. Because the millennial's are an alternative generation that knows that being young will allow change and a release for a better tomorrow.

The more there is a generation gap, the more there will be extraordinary differences. The gap generation itself is inserted in the minds of everyone involved. The gap generation, a well to do generation, has triggered confusion for the older generations and hopefully has brushed it away. Many times, it depends on time and whether the older and younger generations can appreciate each other.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
