1. You've learned how to rock a yellow shirt.
Tri Delta has taken on the colors gold, blue, and silver. While they all mean something to us, it's often hard to pull off a 'gold' (usually yellow) tank or t-shirt. You definitely learn to embrace it and work it well.
2. Dolphins. Everywhere.
Your sisters are saved in your phone with a few dolphin emojis behind their name. You may have dolphin slippers, a dolphin hat, a dolphin shirt, a blow-up pool dolphin, or a picture on your wall. Maybe you photoshopped your face onto a dolphin. The opportunities to show off this Tri Delta mascot are endless and if you don't, you're missing the porpoise.
3. You probably have blue or gold glitter in your bloodstream.
There's never enough glitter to be used on canvases, posters, or your body. It's more than likely embedded into your scalp and your carpet because you use it all the time.
4. You can say the names Shaw, Pond, Stewart, and Breed in your sleep.
After being introduced in the first new member meeting, these ladies names are forever stuck in your head. Make sure you can say them whenever, wherever.
5. BOSTON UNIVERSITY IN 1888.
'nuff said.
6. Every triangle is a Delta.
You start seeing geometric designs in a whole new way.
7. DLAM replaces 'I love you' every time.
"I'll see you tomorrow, sweet girl. DLAM!"
"Thankful for this amazing sister of mine for standing by my side through all my bad decisions and still loving me regardless. DLAM!"
It happens.
8. Your top three emojis are the yellow heart, the blue heart, and the dolphin.
You send them a lot more than you probably should but that's okay because it's for Tri Delta.
9. You understand how hard it is to actually say Delta Delta Delta.
It's a mouthful.
10. Luke Bryan supports us.
You'll definitely use this gem.
11. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
You receive a bid and this wonderful foundation becomes a top priority. You're okay with struggling to find 40 addresses and getting paper cuts on your tongue during letter writing because it means you have a chance to raise money for the kids. You so desperately need other people to love it as much as you do. Talking with your sisters about it just puts your heart at ease because you know that what you do in Tri Delta for St. Jude saves lives and impacts thousands. You're proud of it.
12. You understand what it means to be truly unique.
There's no two Tri Delta's who are the same. We are all our own person and it's wonderful. There is so much diversity in our chapter and we have girls from all walks of life.
13. The ultimate bond.
Delta Delta Delta will always be something you get to share with your amazing sisters. Whether you are a pearl, pine, or pansy, you get to wear these letters with pride. You officially have a family spread out across the world who you'll always have a connection to.
14. Let us steadfastly love one another.
Forever and ever and ever.
DLAM.
