Madison was a young girl who had everything she could ever want. She had beauty, intelligence, and money. She was overwhelmed with popularity. Boys loved her and girls wanted to be her. It was all about her. She never had to worry about anyone else, but then again she wasn’t interested in other people. One day, on a Monday morning, she was an hour late for school because her alarm hadn’t been set. She was at a party and far too busy to prepare for the next day. Usually when this happens she would call her clique to cover for her, but being that an hour had passed they all would have been in class already. So she got herself together and headed off hoping no one noticed her absence. When she finally got there, she headed for the back of the school which was her usual shortcut. The door was really stuck and was really hard to open, but she kept pulling because she was not going to damage her perfect image by getting a detention for lateness. She was finally able to get the door open, but because she yanked the heavy door it hit her right on the head. She was out cold. To what felt like a few minutes later, she quickly got up, checked herself, and rushed to class before anyone noticed her.
The bell rang and she rushed to her friend Karen who was standing by the lockers. She was so excited to tell her about her morning and to once again comment about her hair, but for some odd reason Karen didn’t seem to be paying attention or even look at her for that matter. Madison was furious she could not believe that her friend wasn’t paying any attention at all. "HELLO!" Madison said sternly, but still no response. “Fine! Karen, if that’s how you want to be then BYE!” and she stormed off and didn’t even bother looking back. She went her next class and was thrilled. Since it was one of her favorite classes, she raised her hand for every question, but the teacher didn’t even look in her direction. Hmmmm? she wondered. Why wasn’t I picked? I’m usually his number one choice, she said to herself.
When finally it was lunch time, she didn’t feel hungry, so she didn’t bother getting something to eat. Instead she just sat at her usual table with her clique. Madison didn’t even look at them, she just talked on and on about her wonderful self and her crazy morning. All of a sudden a person outside began screaming at the top of her lungs. “HELP! SOMEBODY! HELP!” Everyone curious to see what had happened all rushed outside. With no hassle, Madison was able to get to the front of the crowd, only to see her body on the ground. She was flat and her arms and legs were spread apart from each other with a river of blood flowing from the back of her head. She was silent, for she had no words. She said to herself, its just a dream this isn’t happening to me. “WAKE UP! WAKE UP!” she screamed in desperation, but nothing happened. With a tear falling from her face, she slowly faced the people surrounding her corpse. The world slowed down and the sounds muffled as she faced reality. She saw them, but they will never see her ever again.
